after a busy christmas and new year, i just had a spare half hour to visit this forum.



what has happened ?

where is suzanne, pike and groucho???



suzanne gives us fair balance, with her views from the south.

pike is a very knowledgable guy who knows plenty about the history of cyprus and its conflicts.

groucho is a decent guy and always great fun.



i for one, am very sorry not to see them here.

it is a great loss for this forum.

could the moderators see there way to bringing them back?

come on guys, new year ,new start!

Not being aggressive, I just happen to think that Capt Pugwash should not have been allowed to get away with calling people thieves on this board. His political bias towards the G.C.'s was extremely unbalanced with his denial of most of the fact's ( unless they were "facts" put out by the G.C.'s). Even threads that started as not being political became so once he had his say and hi-jacked them. For a "reporter" I thought his writing's were an affront to the majority of people on here and he clearly didn't like the fact that myself and other's refused to accept his blatantly biased view's. I thought his posting's showed a distinct lack of knowledge.

No problem with freedom of speech. However it has to contain a balanced viewpoint to be creditable and in my opinion his wasn't. Many post's were also against Forum rules with his denigration of this Country

Exactly....and that is why many of us choose this forum and stay away from the abuse,vitriol and racism on many other Cyprus related forums.



i personally don't have a problem with Pike.....he's an intelligent bloke who brings a lot to the table......it perhaps grates with people that he refuses to admit that he has a GC bias.

No problem with having a bias.....we are ALL biased to a certain extent....but just admit it/stop denying it.



Anyway....enough about Pike....he will be absolutely LOVING all this attention whilst still lurking on here !

The reborn Amanda and her sailor boy friend in my opinion are here to just antagonise and try and frighten buyers. If any member has changed their minds about the TRNC because of these two persons, I would be very much surprised. They do not get involved in any other threads unless they hijack and bring it around to GC propaganda. I for one would not be heartbroken if they both disapeared (fingers crossed)

I would say the little man is on a holiday break and will soon return with his snide comments to other users.

the problems in cyprus are between the tc's and gc's, and that is the way it should stay.

suz and pike are not trying to scare buyers, just giving them a balanced view, which everyone should have taken into account before buying in the trnc.

They provide an alternative viewpoint/devil's advocate position for people to consider when thinking about property purchase in the TRNC.......but don't call it balanced.
