I know this forum has it's serious side but in life there has to be some joviality and some news that some find interesting. I was thinking of moving, to who knows where, because I had no idea. Northern Cyprus as I have a lot of friends in London from there. At the moment I am staying put in London. I have Turkish friends who visit this site and find it very informative. News is news and not always about when your home is going to be completed, when the flowerbeds are finished, who does the best clean-up operation, which company is corrupt. Yes, it is nice to have some insight into the goings on but lightenup everyone, we all have stuff we are unhappy with, THATS LIFE!!!

You are so right this forum IS very sad . There are so many posters on here that are very unhappy, angry, abusive,i could go on. But why ?

Why do people go and live in North Cyprus and then continually slag it off ? I am sure that places like Brighton and Bournemouth would welcome you with open arms. You could play bingo every night and then walk home with your fish and chips in -2deg temperatures.

If you choose North Cyprus as your "adopted " home then you should buckle down and respect the way the people live and do the same.

Hopefully this year i will be moving to Bahceli full time. But i tell you what ,i will become a LOCAL not a whinging Brit

Your comments are spot on

Always remember though IF WE WERE ALL THE SAME THERE WOULD BE NO NEED FOR ASSORTED BISCUITS.

I am glad that you decided to reply. Life is full of ups and downs, it's really short and we need to keep each other bouyed no matter where in the world we are. Do not let the troubles of the world invaded your space all of the time. Try to make a difference (ie the family who lost all their wordly goods) donate a piece of clothing, it might seem inferior to you but make their world, worthwhile. Dont' always look for the bad, that mum, dad, and the children did not envisage looking for handouts for the new year make it their year! Not everthing is made of cement and plaster for them. What goes around comes around.

A J

I am so glad that you agree. Isn't it a shame that more people don't !

They will be very quick to hit the key board if you mention Turk or Greek but

to agree with a post like this ..................... I know Jackeen had been on the

sherbert, but she made a very good point. Maybe the lack of replies is

down to the fact that their are a lot of unhappy people about , which is so

sad. Even Neg Nick sounds more positive !!!!

I feel the same. I love living here and what happened to that family really puts things into perspective as it makes you realise that there are a lot of people here who have very little. I had a great Christmas this year spending most of the time with TC friends who are all struggling with no work and therefore no money. But do they whinge, no they just get on with it because they've been there, done that, got the t-shirt. I think we sometimes forget that the boom times for the TCs only came about in the last couple of years and before that everyone was struggling and now they will struggle again. My husband was out walking our dog this morning and met up with a TC friend who was fishing for calamari (no luck though because apparently they like the sun and its cloudy today). Anyway, he invited him back to his house and he had breakfast with all the family and the kids played with the dog. This is what living here is all about.

Have a great day all.

That is what i LOVE about the locals, north and south. They don't have much but they will always share it with you.

I have a very good Turkish friend in the south. If i ask him for anything

he says of course no problem !! If i have two pairs of trousers then you

can have one ! Sums it all up really. Puts us to shame !
