I am conducting a short market research survey to determine the likely market demand of luxury hair care products within north cyprus i.e. TIGI, fudge, Kerastase, Paul Mitchell & Aveda. Please could you state which of these brand leaders you would be most interested in if there were made available for you within the north cyprus region..Thankyou for your participation & looking forward to your replies - Basheer

also bear in mind the actual cost of these brands would be more expensive than within the UK i.e due to import tax..would this deter your decision to purchase?

having consulted my hairdresser her response to your question is as follows,

TIGI stying range is possibly the best on the market

Aveda shampoo and conditioners are good

Paul Mitchell hit and miss but may have improved as not used for sometime

Kerastase again is ok

with the right product for the right type of hair, the condition feels good, the styling product is magic to the west market,

with supermarket products a drop of this and a drop of that mixed with water dont solve hair problems !!!

I'm new here. The stuff for the pound shop for me. Doesn't make any difference, my hairs always the same....but full points to Basheer for the eloquence of the last post. A cosmo add couldn't have put it better.

hi

i was wondering when you say they will be available in north cyprus for sale, would you also be able to consult the person buying as to which product is good for them? and give consultation. Or are they just available in a shop? I use aveda and other ranges for my hair, i know what i buy but if i wanted a change my hairdresser is always at hand to advise and consult me. Just wondered how it would work for customers.

thanks I'm working on it,plan to open a hairshop hopefully with haircare advice to ensure costomers buy the right product to achieve the best results,as you well know ladies spend approx about 6 hrs a year at the hairdressers, that's about half a day,the rest of the time You are the stylist, and with the right product, you will look great 365 days a year whereever you are thanks

i am a hairdresser by trade, and all luxury products need a professional to advise and direct you to the best suited product once we know what the problems are and what you are trying to achieve without guesswork, our products will be available in a hairdressers outlet, theres a product for fine hair, dry hair ,wavy hair, long hair that's aged and worn, coloured hair and so on and wrong products are a waste of money as they don't achieve the desired result so you never find luxury haircare in pound shops or Boots over in the UK,and there's no harm changing brands as long as you choose the one that works with your hair type so watch this space bash

hi bashir

i think more than 6 hours a year at a hairdresser!!! well for me anyway i wish i could get away with only 6 hours!

and yes although salon products are good, i disagree that boots products are not as effective as you can also buy hair stylist ranges as well as cheaper brands, it just depends. in my opinion that is!!

lulubell - wish I could get away with 6 hours a year too. I have hair that hairdressers have always referred to as "expensive". They weren't kidding! I have dead straight, fine hair that, without a lot of money and attention spent on it, looks as though I wear a crash helmet most of the time!

Unfairly, Mr Wick has thick, wavy hair that he runs a brush through when he gets out of the shower and it stays like it all day. He could use carbolic on it and I bet it would still look the same!

So unfair!!!

hi the wicks...

i can see we are on the same wave length yes why is that.. why can men do absolutely nothing to there hair and it looks fine?

yet we are sentenced to a life at the hairdressers trying to get our hair to look normal?? I have really long thick hair if i didnt get it blow dryed and treated/coloured for the fun of it you understand not the greys........... NOT!!!

been grey since i was 20! I would probably resemble a poodle as my hair is also curly...

perhaps bashir just has clients with gifted hair.. what do you think?? He might not want customers like us with dodgy hair...

take care

hi the wicks isnt life unfair, 6 hours indeed i spend at least 52 hours a year.my hair is so bloomin curly if left so i go to get it straightened as i am totally dyslexic with a hairdryer.men are alwayss so lucky guido is the same just falls in place and stays there. I have quite long red hair and living here it grows like wildfire ,so ever month i go for the chop. Mind you it is so cheap here compared to uk. I pay 15tl for a blow dry and 35tl for cut and dry. The products they use are good. Im sure you look lovely anyway. speak to you soon xxxx

lulubell - I'd give my right arm for long, thick hair, but isn't always said that we all want the type of hair that we haven't got? From your photo, your hair looks great.

Mr Wick (Paul) has grey hair too (but at least he's got hair) in fact it's white in parts, but I'd rather have that than the bloody hair I've got. I am older than him and he claims that when we got married (he was 31, I was 37) he had no grey hair, but then he's a man and he tells lies! If he lets his hair grow, he resembles a King Charles spaniel. Lucky sod!

PS Question - why, when a man puts on weight, he just buys bigger clothes, whilst us women panic and go on a diet?

Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars I guess!!!

All the best with your move.

Jean

cio lulubell . you are very welcome and i am counting down the days. There is very many good brands here but i havent seen aveda, and i cant get dermologia for love or money. I love that stuff. They are getting into more natural products now these can be got south side but sooo expensive. I pay more for a bottle of aloe vera than i would for a bottle of champange, but at least that lasts me a month. Also milk thistle seems to go well so maybe look at bringing these in as nobody here does aloe products. Will email you and if you need anything or I can do anything you know where i am . Did you get the dog sorted xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Lucky ? I wish, my last post was however a bit tongue in cheek.....there IS probably something to what you say about men's hair.....phısıologicaly there işs very lıttie difference betweenbut maybe hair is one of the differnces...sebum production for example might be greater in men thus keeping our hair more oiled.......but viav la difference hey ?

yes firestarter agree.. your hair resembles straw after using straightners personally dont use them as blowdry is far better..

basheer have to agree with doyen.. in your thread re supplying great products to nourish look after hair surely hair straightners are defeating the object, and not very productive to business if ladies can do there own hair at home?
