A message to all active moderators...you should all hang your heads in damn shame, my post on a serious subject was removed by Simbas and another was closed, but you have all allowed a gang of bully boys to open several threads ridiculing me because they oppose my views on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict...clearly there was no active democracy going on here only selective moderation.



The situation has been in part addressed but only after intervention, I repeat, hang your heads in shame!

Good morning Dee , Firstly i must correct you on one thing , i did not remove your post , i would have owned up to it if i had . But i did close both of them for the reasons given at the time . I have explained to you in my e-mails Dee . It's not my style to be confrontational Dee . So if we need to continue this i will continue to do so via e-mail if you don't mind.

Problem is Dee, an ideal Mod should not impose opinions, only vet each post on it's individual merits, moderate on any direct personal abuse (where the person aimed at could be identified), or anything illegal, change '***'/delete, leave a short explanation, and preferably a name, and then leave the rest alone.

Deletion should only be used if a prescribed number of email complaints are received, and even then the title should remain, with a decision note, so that all are aware it has gone, it should not just dissapear.

Just my thoughts from someone who used to moderate society.

Brian I understand what you are saying but for moderators to allow threads that are deliberately designed to cause ridicule and bullying is unacceptable..if they cannot moderate properly they should resign their positions..



The offending threads had my name in them...as I say unacceptable.



It took a third parties intervention to address the problem..



We have lost one moderator already who was imo a fair and balanced one, I speak of AJ of course whom I wish would return.

Firstly I object to being called a bully boy ( assuming you are referring to me). If you look back at your posts you were not attacked for your views. I respect your right to have your own opinion. Your problem is that when someone points out that they have an opposing view you become hysterical and insulting. You even had the effrontary to tell me what I think when you don't even know me ( hence the Psychic thread).If you can't take criticism you shouldn't try to dish it out and you should learn that people will always have differing opinions. That is a basic of human nature.



Now you have got your partner Kevin e mailing me because he wants to sort this out. That I am afraid I find rather pathetic. Debate by all means on here but if you insult someone expect reaction, expect people to have differing views and stand on your own two feet without recourse to semi-threatening e mails from your partner.

My partner does not make threats but he will not tolerate your obvious bullying against me, attack me on the threads I have started by all means, I am more than capable of dealing with you..opening and attributing to threads directed at me is nasty and unwise.

Indeed, hilariously, it seems to me that you are the Hamas of the bulletin boards. You fire "rockets" and abuse at everyone you disagree with and then cry foul when they retaliate in a way you don't like.



Whether you like it or not there are two sides to every issue. Here is a view in Asharq Alawsat (Arabic Daily Newspaper) which rather sums it all up. By Abdul Rahman Al-Rashed who says:

Cyprus 44, none of this would have happenned. Members opinions were clearly expressed on

From your post it is clear that you cannot tolerate anyone having a differing opinion to yourself and they are therefore a bully, drunk, wimp etc etc. These insults as far as I am concerned are merely to mask your inadequacy when it comes to having a reasoned debate. I started the Psychic thread as the thread you started was closed and I therefore could not post my response.



You are not able to "deal with me" without resorting to insults and childish remarks and as to my posts being "unwise" I would suggest you get a life and grow up. If you continue to insult people your partner is going to have to learn to tolerate criticism of you without sending private e mails. Either that or leave the Board to people who want to use it properly

Clearly you are another that has missed the point, I am not objecting to differing views on the subject of Israel/Palestine and quite frankly I am getting sick and tired of having to repeat this on here...If you cannot be bothered to read the offending threads then do not come on here just to jump on the ill informed band wagon!

I have closed this thread on the basis that previous threads involving members got out of hand and became personal. Puppylover.



Just to add that sometimes the moderators do communicate about issues but you have to remember that we are not paid to sit here reading everything all day as we do have lives outside of the forum. Hope that clears that up.
