| A friend has been told that if your are over the age of 60, you have no need to apply for residency... If this is true why are they still taking our money ??? According to the source of this information visits to the police stations in Girne & Lefkosia being told the same residency is not required... Who knows ???? |

| Hi Harita,
My mum is 65 and she had to have residency when she got here and has just had to renew hers a few weeks ago. We have a Cypriot friend here and I have asked him and as far as he knows, you did still need residency despite your age, if you are going to be here for more than 90 days.

| When you have control freaks that need the revenue and a population of expats rapidly heading towards and beyond 60, would you give up a nice little earner like temp residency? |

| hi harita strangely enough i have heard that twice this week from customers. but do you remembe in the cyprus today a few weeks ago they deported a lady over that age as she only had her pension as income. best to check if you can get a correct answer lilli x |
