Marks and Spencers have today announced job lossses of 1000 with more to come. It is also the last day for Woolworths. Its so vey sad. I started work as a saturday girl in Wollies. All the great british insitutions going.

watcha lil ! sorry to hear you worked for wollies !!! must admit i have worked for a few myself ha ha its a time for us to all be a little more positive about the future because woolworths was american ! land rover jaguar indian etc etc just the names and traditions were british ! perhaps this could be looked at as the great british business detox to allow new and inspiring businesses to flourish in the future ! i had a friend (i know its hard to believe) who supplied woolworths some items and went bust because they didnt pay him for 9 months and now the reasons are obvious !

here's to 2009 in which i am sure will be some heart aches and disasters (outside this forum) but we can all find some positive and happy times ahead otherwise there is little point !

look forward to seeing you all soon and hope Guido's going well ! still got your candles but have used a lot of them ! ha ha
