Came out in September for the first time and am now thinking of coming for 10 days or so in April. Is it warm enough then as my mother could do with some early sun to warm up the bones. What about evenings/nightime.

All views gratefully received.

I actually prefer mid-end April rather than July/August,when it is way too hot and sticky.

Warm and sunny enough....obviously cools off at night, but certainly not cold.

April/May and Late September to Early November are great - normal is not too hot not too humid.

I prefer June and September. We have been over in August before but found it too hot during the day. Loved the evenings though.

Hi Cooper . Weather was a little unpredictable , some really warm sunny days , and some chilly ones . That was our experience , but then we have only been twice in March.

Hi Cooper,

Was out end of March last year and it was unseasonally chilly whilst I was there. So weather can be unpredictable, as it had been warm and sunny the week before we arrived. I think one should always take some sweaters and long trousers with you at that time of year.

It was a very pleasant 20C today. April is a lovely time to come and towards the end of that month it is even possible to swim in the sea/pool, if you are hardy.

Thanks everyone. I knew I would get a balanced and honest view. Have been swimming in the Canaries in April, how more or less hardy do I need to be in NC?

I don't usually go in the pool until May but even then it takes a few attempts to get in. We've got a pool cover now so I'm hoping to start earlier this year. Kids don't seem to mind too much, ours were in Acapulco's pool in March one year! I think the sea is pretty cool in April too.
