Hi to everyone , have been looking at this site for a while and find it very informative, i've decided to finally take the plunge and make a post .

Could anyone tell me were i could buy televisions and videos that are reasonably priced in the TRNC , the places we've been to we have found them to be quite expensive . Any info would be gratefully received

Don't buy here, buy them cheap at Tesco's and smuggle them through Larnaca in a suitcase, flat screen TV's lend themselves to this.

But this is not what I would do.

I would pay the full price here in the TRNC as I fully support this country and its tax regime on imported goods, and I recommend this course of action to all.

I hope you have all got the message.

A safer way to smuggle in a flat screen TV is to put it in a condom and insert it in an orrafice. You will never get spotted.

Cheap Tesco's TV's are also rubbish.

Go for a better make Lem.

Morning roey65

What you saved on your property you can spend on the telly.

Buy local and support the shops. Expensive I know but there are sometimes bargains to be had on this board. Keep your eyes peeled. Or try the auctions.

I brought a small flat screen tv out in my luggage in September. I was ok but the sound wasn't good and I got constant 'buzzing' thought it was the satelite. Went to Arcelik & bought a 32 inch flat screen with 3 yr warrenty (for Christmas!) guess what - no buzzing. I think I've heard other people say the sound either doesn't workor is poor quality on sets brought from UK. The 32" flatscreen was 1050 ytl from the Arcelik in Kargoanagulu (I KNOW thats not spelt right!)
