Hi Sarah. I went over via Metahen on Monday and wasn't searched. However, reading some of the other posts on here, there is some kind of a new initiative and I may have caught them on a tea break !!

With the election date announced, the present government wouldn't dare cause any problems at the checkpoints,so no worries till after the general elections in mid April..

Came back through Metehan this evening, no problems at all.....everyone waved cheerfully

Going over, one of the Turkish polis at the passport area pointed out that my number plate in front was loose - and proceeded to fix it for me, chatting all the while.....

Nice to be feeling so much 'positivity' - that's not a word is it???

lol

Oh - and petrol prices are down to .74 a litre!

First of all,let me state i do not sell TV sets or have anything to do with people importing/selling TV sets.

To my knowledge,Philips and Sony are couple of companies which are a step ahead of the rest on LCD TV technology.

Not sure they are available in north Cyprus tho.

Personally i prefer plasma TV's to LCD TV's but that is a personal preference.

If you do not have room for a 42in screen and are limited to 32in you might consider a 32in LG plasma i saw not long ago.
