Cheap travel insurance is cheap for a reason. Please make sure you read the smallprint and look at your excesses in comparison to other products.

don't use the post office, they don't pay out if you are taken ill. (hubby can vouch for that)

god knows what would happen if it was lifethreatening?

try your bank, most offer insurance.

Colliedog Just make sure you tell them every thing about any previous medical conditions,I mean everything i.e illnesses, broken bones.visits to see a specialist, etc etc.Let them make the decision that they will insure you, dont automatically assume that It doesnt matter if you went to see a specialist about something or other. Yes I have dealings with Insurers so do read the VERY small print..

coachie

my hubby didn't have any previous medical condition.

he got 5 star al a carte food poisoning in turkey, the post office refused to pay, even though we did all we could to keep medical bills and flights home to a minimum.

it wasn't a lot of money, but the principle of they should have paid out!

the post office insurance is daylight robbery.
