fairly decent sized room, own bathroom, double bed, tv and large continental breakfast - more than I could eat. I considered it very good value for money. Since my stay I think they renovated so may be more expensive now

If you can stay for a week I reckon you could get a package holiday through Green Island Holidays for less than you will pay going independently

Going over 2nd Feb for 1 week from Manchester and staying at Pia Bella. £680 total cost for flight, transfer and B&B. Also upgraded to superior room. It is the flights that are expensive hotels appear quite reasonable.

Hi people

If your looking for cheap flights, go on line to monarch.

we got return for 2 people for £350,fly out of luton in to larnaca and back.

Dates of 27/02/08 back 2/3/08 havent found any cheaper on the web.

Hope this helps some people,if anybody is think of doing the same as us around the same time let me know so we can meet in n/c over a beer and compear notes,or if there is anybody in n/c that has bought a villa we could do picking your brains on the highs and lows of buying in n/c over a beer of course.

Kind regards Paul & kay

You could have got a week through Green Island for about £200 each that would include flights, transfers and accommodation.

Good price Paul. Much better deals if you can go from the south of England. Taxi to the north is about £80 return to Girne from airport. Recommend you stay somewhere central if its your first trip. Pia Bella highly recommended particularly at this time of year. Some of the other hotels are of a good standard but can be remote and very, very quiet at this time of year.Altinkya also fairly central and if you want to be near the harbour, try the British Hotel.

THANKS TO YOU ALL

WISH WE COULD DO A WEEK,BUT WORK SAID NO.

WE HAVE BEEN TO N/C BEFORE LAST YEAR FOR 2 WEEKS SO WE KNOW THE AREA.

DOING A LOT OVER THE NET BEFORE WE GO THIS TIME,AS IT SEEMS TO BE A BUYERS MARKET AT THE MOMENT.

IF ANYBODY IS THERE THE SAME TIME AS US IT WOULD BE GOOD TO MEET UP.

THANKS PAUL
