Is anyone else sick of BBC Prime??

I got so sick of it recently that I emailed them to complain. I received a very nice reply taking on board so many of my comments. They told me that they are planning a brand new schedule for 2009 and want as much input as possible - they stated that viewers' comments could make a real difference! So if, like me, you're sick of the constant repeats being shown on Prime, email them on bbcprime@bbc.om

PS - was pleased to see the return of Holby City and Casualty this week

The name Prime suggests something that the BBC would consider to be the very best it produced. I don't consider The Weakest Link, soaps or various gardening/cookery shows to fall into that category. Is Ann Robinson what the BBC presents to the world as being a Prime product?

Drama, Comedy, Documentaries and News etc should surely be what they/we consider to be the Prime of BBC?

When I emailed them a complaint,I got a very nice email back explaining that BBC Prime was not a channel that believed in repeats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It still makes us laugh a year later, about the only thing it was good for.

I've complained before and also had a 'nice email' back, it makes bugger all difference.

I really cannot believe they have put 'Doctors' on at 8.30pm, do they want people not to watch!

Soon it will be my worst nightmare, Last of the summer wine, Doctors, and then Keeping up appearances. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGG

I think there are enough people on this forum to get together and all email the BBC then they would have to do something about it. Send the address round to all your friends. The BBC in the UK is the envy of the world with top drama, comedy and entertainment available. They must be able to come up with a better schedule. What about The Apprentice - did anyone enjoy that? It was very popular in the UK, but has never been shown here. Spooks? Another great programme

jacktheladett,

Interesting to hear that "Doctors" is back. Back in 2006 it was dropped from the schedule when they had a large overhaul. Eurovision, Children in Need, Doctors were dropped "permanantly" according to their website at the time and more themed shows would be shown. So we ended up with 2 hours of old comedies and once they had finished their run they started again, and then we had to endure Strictly Come Dancing every night, then a highlights programme when that finished. Don't miss Prime at all!

Has any one noticed Digiturk can't even be bothered to update the information in the guide. when you press on it, it's blank for a fair few of the programmes and especially the Movie channels,so it's pot luck most of the time. I watched a very funny series in UK at Xmas (GAVIN & STACEY) my son had them, 1st and 2nd series. I was hooked. Think that would go down well here, we could all do with a good laugh
