Having had the misfortune to play in a darts match tonight at Jessics, I must say I will never set foot in the place again. Having played most of a close and very even-handed game, we were about to play the final threes game to decide the winner, when all hell let loose. I have no idea what it was about, but it involved some very loud shouting and bawling from a Jessic player, aimed at the (very pregnant) wife of one of the opposing team. All I heard was something about 'coughing' innapropriately during the various legs. The lady in question doesn't even know how to cough in English, never mind interfere with the game, and the treatment of her was, to say the least, unforgiveable.

Shame on you, whoever you were. Darts is supposed to be fun. May I suggest a little less Efes the next time you play.

John.As you know I never go to away matches so tonight was a first for me....big mistake!Am in totally agreement with every word you say.....the abuse and language from a team of so called ladies was appalling to say the least.I thought the abuse that was directed at the pregnant lady in question was shameful.I only hope that when the complaint is made to the darts chairperson this team will be made to answer for their actions.Michael and I are of the same opinion that we as a team should have walked out at the time that the so called lady "Lisa" started her tirade of abuse at our team.Along with yourself we will never step foot in Jessics again.Sad to say tonight was a night not to be proud to be British. What the locals who witnessed this disgraceful behaviour must have thought we cannot imagine.

Good morning and thank you for your observation.

As of 1am (TRNC time) I requested that Izzet withdraw my moderator status and membership.

Sorry to say I have no shame in naming a person I have never met/seen until this unfortunate incident last night.

Jabbing her finger in the face of a heavily pregnant lady who does not speak English and could not comprehend what was going on is more shameful in my book.

Enjoy your day.

Funny how I keep hearing stories about women's darts matches turning bitchy. I thought women were the less competitive species, it's only a game of darts, for goodness sake.

Haha. This is funny. Any sport/ well darts players call it a sport. That allows players to fuel themselves with alcohol must expect this kind of behaviour.

HARLEQUIN TOO TRUE but if a darts match should cause reason for people to boycot an establishment then it brings into question whether they should be taking part in a social event at all.

Games and sports need to be played by people who understand the rules and the social conventions that surround them. If you find that there are people who don't understand and don't know how to behave then just don't play or socialise with them.

If people can't be both good winners and good losers they are not worth playing, either for your team or against.

I don't think it is particular to Northern Cyprus, even if it might seem to be the case at times, that there are just too many people around who have no manners at all and no notion of how to behave. Socialising with them is not compuslory

I totally agree by what I read, it was out of order but you cannot blame Jessics for what happened only the people involved. I am not a lover of the place myself, never have been, no specific reason, but I would not stay away from the place because of what happened I just would ot go there on the nights they play darts.

HARLEQUIN i totally agree after all we all like to socialise, have a drink ,but when bad manners come into it and threats etc then this just spoils the whole state of affairs ,it is a great shame ,but HEY this will not stop me socialising and enjoying my darts, it was a pity that the evening was spoilt so near the end of the night and as you say you win some you loose some thats the name of the game.

HARLEQUIN WHISTLER i forgive you both, no one is perfect and if they say they are then there nose might grow telling porky pies , we can not all like every place but like you say whistler keep away on those night but trust me if there was more team ship and people stopped taking it all so serious then a good night is had by all, we are all human are we not. I can not stand all this pathetic bickering so come on folks just forgive and forget but just dont ever let me hear you ( the person who plays for sempati rams ) call me that word again as that was totally unforgivable ok.

Hi all.

I am new to the forum, but had to join today to reply. As a Committee Member and Organiser of the ladies darts league (which plays on a Tuesday) can I remind you all that whatever did or didn't happen last night has nothing to do with the Ladies Darts League. Thursday night is mixed league darts - played by both men and women.

We are actually very proud of the way the ladies darts league has developed. There are now 10 teams involved, and if you care to watch some of the matches you will see how good the quality is. In fact, some of the ladies are so good that they compete and win in the mixed league on a regular basis.

I have seen some of these so called ladies that play darts for the Jessic in action. Believe me they are certainly no ladies. An actual discription for the majority would be: ***, ***, ***, ****, ***, *****.

Now, this is getting silly.

Even the most meagre intelligence should be able to work out that, given the juxtaposition of "t" and "r" on the keyboard that "datrs" instead of "darts" is a typographical error.

Furthermore "dickslexic" is a joke - a wordplay on "dislexic." Indeed, a joke, at my own expense. I suppose that is all too much for people who can get excited playing darts, or is it drats.

And, this (and I know one is not supposed to start sentences with "and" but I like to) from someone whose own prose is a grammatical disaster area and whose sentences are almost beyond parsing.
