Hi, trying to buy replacement battery, problem is cannot find exact model etc my battery which is for sony is vgp bps2c 11.1v/5200mAh can only find batteries which are either 11.1v/4400mAh or 6000mAh would eitherof these be ineffective on my machine or worse cause damage to it?

Its the voltage that is critical.



The lower mah means that the battery will not last as long for each session you use it without mains power. The higher mah battery will last longer each charge than your old one.

I agree with guin...as long as the voltage is same,the higher the mAh,the better...

If there was much difference,then it could have charging problems but 6000mAh will do just fine..(maybe slightly longer to charge but other than that OK)

Yes iceman you found the correct one thankyou, although have found one now at 6900/aMh so may go for that after seeing other replies
