welcome tanker please dont judge us all by the few who have made a mistake and generally feel the trnc should support them in difficult times ! i feel sorry for people who make the massive decision to move to a new country and cant hack it and i firmly believe that wherever they move would be the same ! people get very confused with such a big move and also i feel that a lot start drinking much more when they have little to do as you can see by the general spelling the later it gets !!!!

blimey charlie i,m out for good in april and i am going to do my best to make it work !! if for some reason it doesnt i will keep very quiet and run back to blighty with tail between legs ! are you resident in trnc or considering

regards

Tanker,I,ve been here since September, but had holiday home for 5 years before that. It's before 8 am,walked around garden with my coffee...sun is shining, birds singing, new flowers coming into flower, osteospermum, carnations, the perfumed cyprus jasmin budding, ready for bloom next month, roses still in flower.

I pray God/Allah allow me many many more years of this Paradise

Mike

Sounds like heaven! Cannot even do that here in the UK in summer (well may be the occasional coffee) Snakes seems to have the right attitude entirely! Not living there yet but hope to give it a go in the not too distant future. Perhaps people should do a lot more research before they take that step. Have a good weekend. Sandie

Hi Sandie,I should have said, visited Turkey for many years, and fell in love with the people, customs, history.Yes,there are practices here I do not approve,shooting/poisoning usually stray dogs, shooting small birds, litter everywhere. It seems to me the moaning Brits will not accept this, and think they are in Britain with a little more sunshine, and consider it's their right and duty to try and change the locals.

That's my coffee break and moan of the day. It's 10o/c Saturday am.Temperature 17.5deg.Back to stop the jasmine strangling the house!!

Hi Mike

Agree entirely. Well it is only 8 degrees here in Essex and the rain is lashing down and very windy, so no coffee in the garden for me, just a bowl of porridge and a cuppa! Good luck with Jasmine! Sandie x

Hi Tanker

You always get negative comments on this board A little bit like reading a newspaper . At the moment i am sat in my garden with a cup of good old Yorkshire tea with a beautifull women at my side . Looking out over the beautifull flat calm sea . Life couldnt be better.

Enjoy the garden but just a word of warning to Mike to wear gloves when cutting Jasmine. It may be an old wives tale but there is believed to be something in summer Jasmine that can trigger heart attacks.

Caulkhead, mission accomplished, jasmin trimmed no ill effect...I like the tale of the winter heavily perfumed jasmin, got one loads of buds. When you are going to make love to a new lady, you put a sprig on her pillow.

Well got millions of sprigs, just awaiting that special person...
