Having read the NHS thread which was very informative i am now confused as to why we are paying taxes on our pensions from the UK.The nice lady in the Uk tax office told us when we left England that there was no such place as N.Cyprus but we could opt to pay taxes in Cyprus or continue to pay them in UK.So the question is what are the taxes for.(Did send the nice lady a postcard to prove there was such a place).

i think it was if you have not lived in the uk for the last three months, it stops you being entitled to nhs treatment.

If you can persuade your pension providor to pay your pension here you can do say. Then be subject to TRNC taxation system.

Remember there are no tax allowances here ie your first £6k approx is not tax free as in UK.

yes and you can claim taxes back from the uk system every april, if it is the only uk income you get.

after all the trnc doesn't exist, hence and earnings from the trnc can't either, lol.

unless you bank with hsbc, because they report everything!
