Just wondering if anyone can recommend a beautician or beauty salon for eyebrow waxing/threading and gels for nails as currently have mine done in UK but am moving over in April. I know lulubell is out in June but i'll need someone before then!

try the salon just past echics on left they also have a solerium and if you ask paul west the profetional make up artist you can book him dont come much better than that

i would wait for lulubell she knows her stuff. There are many here but if you are used to a certain product you may not find it here. The prices ere now seem to be o n par wih uk prices. paid 40ytl for eyelash and eyebrown tint last weeek in a small salon. last time about 3 months ago this cost me 20ytl when i asked why the difference i was told the government.

hi lilli and ces88 for your loyalty.. i totally understand that you need to find a salon before i arrive. If you can get some recommendations for salons on here thats great just make sure you know the prices before hand i would say and maybe if your not sure of salon/therapist etc have something small done like eyebrow wax and take it from there. Lilli you are an AMORE.X.X. I have been doing it for years (showing my age now!!) and lurvvveeee my job!! 40ytl is ridiculous lilli for eyebrow and eyelash tint i cant believe they charge that much total rip off!! try and hang on lilli my love and will do it all for you when i get there..



i cant wait to start when im over because i know that i can provide years of experience and advice to clients and also i will be using top quality products like opi, jessica, aromatherapy wax which is on of the best.



i did get a price list from a salon in girne and couldnt believe how expensive treatments were, at least being mobile i can offer good

Hi, I go to a salon beside Cape Wines which is beside Supreme supermarket. Do ask for a price as I have been charged two different prices. She is quite good. Maybe we will all wait for Lulubell's arrival, that might not be too fair on her though!

hi ces well if all goes well please god it does i will definately be over for the first of july,if not before. im in the process of making sure i have everything i need for my work and also researching prices of treatments out there and cant get over how expensive they are!! I currently offer in my salon loyalty cards and special monthly offers which i will definately be doing even though im mobile, so for every treatment you get done you get a stamp when card is full you can choose a free treatment. I know you all need to find a salon before i get there, i know what its like totally understand, but hopefully we can all meet up when im there and start beautifying all my lovely ladies!!

Lulubell - By the sound of things, the sooner you get there the better. I have this mental picture of ladies walking around with grey eyebrows (that would be me, by the way, if I lived there), hairy legs (me again) and hairy other areas which I won't go into here! LOL.

I must agree with you that prices do seem to be extortionate - I go to my local health club and prices there are about half of what Liz is talking about!



PS Why do we women put outselves through all this? Vanity?

Yes the prices seem ridiculous, much more expensive than what i charge and i have a salon here, so i think if your reasonable you get more clients.

I use Nicky Atkinson, resident beuatician at the Cutting Rooms down by the New Harbour. Lovely lady and very good. Her prices are very reasonable and she knows her stuff. Full manicure for example is 25ytl.

I have just had gel nails done in Velena on way to Esentepe and it cost me 120tl. They have been done very well but very expensive and Lullibell is mobile and cheaper I would go with her when she gets here.

oh my god that is so expensive i cant believe it!! well i will definately be cheaper than that so dont worry, i have over 15 years experience with nails and have done many competitions also, my favourite is freehand nail art and designs also love working with gel your nails look so nice after.some of my treatments will be aromatherapy waxing and advanced waxing,massage,tinting,perming,eyelash extensions,manicures,pedicures paraffin wax treatments,silk,fiberglass nails gel nails,overlays. facials and more

i hope you can manage and cant wait to meet all of you when i arrive might be nice to catch up over coffee

I know i cannot believe the prices espescially as people dont earn the same wages as here, but all this info is great as it helps me keep mine reasonable and affordable. Yes that will be brilliant if you arrange a coffee morning cant wait! me too counting down the days until i get there.



p.s ask guido when i come in april does he want a battistero panettone? im not sure if you can get them there but they have them in tescos at the minute but not sure for how long and of course you just email me and ill bring the usual,sodas wheaten bread anything you want.

I keep asking what treatments they offer and a price list but as usual here none to be had but i will try get a list for you.in answer to your question he would love one, got one south side christmas and it cost an arm and a leg. Hi again, my mistake, my nails were 80TL (msg 21) and 40TL for my hair. I am happy with the nails but they take SOOOOOOOOOOOOO long to do. The guy who cut my hair, can cut but has no idea how to style afterwards.....need to find a decent hairdresser now.

i would say either go to a salon and let them do a make up trial and see what you think. If not ysl touche eclat is a great concealer that hides a multitude of sins i would be lost without mine!! try applying this with a lightweight foundation over the top or tinted moisturiser. Im not sure if you are in the uk or trnc but if in uk then go along to your department store and have a make up session with one of the counters like clarins or chanel and tell them your concerns they should be able to offer you the right products to use at home.

Hi Southgate, I know Lulubell is not the only Nail Tech in TRNC. I normally go to Ala at Velena but she is away in Russia (no knowledge of when she returns). I went to Rose's and she make a complete horrlicks of my nails so just trying to find a competent Nail Tech who can do my nails. I will PM Phoebe and she if she can do it for me. Thanks

I have been going to linz, a professional nail technician,for the last 4 yrs, trained by Creative,Fully qualified(7yrs), very experienced. Her prices start from 88ytl for a set of Acrylics. Linz worked for Nail inc in the UK, She worked at Bio mest, Kyrenia , now at Neil Anthony Hair salon.Definetely the best i have known here. She will be doing gel nails next month. Also they do waxing, facials and pedicures, hair of course. Manicure 25ytl, pedicure 35ytl.All i need in one location !
