Hi All

Couldn't be more happy, and can not speak highly enough of the resort and the whole set up, it's first class !! Had lovely weather too for 2 out of the 3 days so excellent all round !

Jamie - was there much snagging to do? Did you compose your own list or employ a professional to do it ?, and how quickly did the developer get it all done please?

Thanks

Hi Jamie. I think Jack said your block was to be completed in March which im sure it will be as they are really cracking on with it, but drop him an email im sure he'll confirm. Indoor pool/gym almost finished. Outdoor pools to be started in march. Wearther was lovely about 20 degrees, warm enough to walk along the beach in a t'shirt !

Hi Guiness, I took my Dad with me who has been in the building trade for 40 years to do my snagging, and the only faults he found were very minor, like the finish round the taps in the shower room and a couple of screws not being flush etc. I was only there last Friday so will let you know when they do the little bits. To be honest I wouldn't even be a problem if it was left like that as the rest of it is first class, the finish is suberb and the fittings are very high quality. All the white goods are bosch so I really have nothing but praise for the developer and the resort. In my opionion anyone that buys there will not be disappointed

Nice to hear your good report Jamie. So all that's needed is light bulbs and furniture then !

Were electricity and water already turned on for you, or is that the next stage of takeover?

I have seen your mail address elsewhere on the forum, so is it OK to mail you off-list please?

Thank

Hi Guin

Sure email me no worries. All electric and water is connected, (light bulbs included as mine was being used as the show apartment) and we're choosing some furniture as we speak.

Hi Jamie, for my 1 bed apartment it is going to be about GBP 400 for the year. Will probabl have to start paying it in the next couple of months when more of the pools etc are finished.

Depends what you like, i'm a beach person and all the beaches are beautiful, but you must head up the karpaz its amazing. the ruins at salamis in my opionion are well worth a visit along with famagusta old town. Kyrenia harbour is a lovley place to get some lunch and watch the world go by.

Guin, got your email, will reply when i have a quiet moment at work.

Kind regards

Jamie

hi jamie012002,

We are your neighbours I think , as we have a 1 bed flat, top floor of Augustus (a14) also. I was interested to read that your water and electric are already connected. Is this because your flat is a show house? We have just been quoted a bill of £1000 to have water and electric meters fitted. Seems rather excessive to me.

We are out at the end of April for ten days or so. Really looking forward to it. We would really appreciate any tips you could give us regarding where to go for furniture, beds etc.

Look forward to meeting you and yours in the not too distant future,

Regards, Martin and Irina

Hi Martin, yeah we are neighbours, we are in A15. The water and electric is connected in all the apartments now that are completed. I was told from the outset that it would be about 1000 GBP for the water and electric, (And was in my contract) so wasn't really a shock. I personally didn't think it was too bad as obviously it would have cost a lot of money to get electricity to the site, and the permits etc that are required. Regarding furniture, I have only spoken to a company that Val @ Ceasar recommended, they quoted me about GBP 2300.00 to kit the whole place out including sofa beds, linen, cuttlery, microwaves, toasters etc, basically everyhting to get you up and running. The price also includes delivery and putting it all in place in the apartment. If you want to email me about anything else, please do. jamie@pjshipping.co.uk

Kind regards

Jamie

My wife and I have also purchased in Augustus(A4) and will be arriving on 1st May to pick up the keys.We have decided to fly into Larnaca as the cost, flight times and availability were far more favourable than the Ercan flights.However....Although we are being transferred across the border by private taxi I intend to include a few tools, bedlinen etc.. in my luggage. The question is ..Is this likely to cause any problems with the border guards if these items are found?

Changing the theme.Jamie 012002 - apologies for singling you out but I believe you purchased a white goods pack from Jack - Can I ask did the price include installation?

And there's more - Can anyone suggest a local reasonable furniture outlet(s) and other stores that sell hardware like pans, crockery and cutlery etc. and a reasonable local restaurant.

Sorry to bombard you all with these questions but your advise would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

PS What's it like to drive over there?

Villian, Local supermarket Lemar has most, 1001 and Astos hypermarket, famagusta, both have good selection.

driven over 20000 miles in last 4years no problem.

border with own property no problem either.

restaurants, moon over the water and kiyi both excellent, plenty more in Famagusta, ginko, plaza, rusty pelican

good luck

Hi Villain, yes my white goods were all installed within the agreed price. I went to moon over the water on Pilgrims recommendation and have to say it was a first class meal, tried to go there again in Jan while I was over but sadly they were closed until this week !! The garden restaurant was also really nice and they loved the kids !

Jamie, thanks for your reply mate, sorry I've not replied earlier but I've been working away. My Mrs has a friend that lives in the area and she told us that there is a big furniture store in Iskele. We will have a look when we are there in April. We also have a recommendation from Val, so we will check that out too.

Hello, only just joined this forum and there seems to be a lot of Caeser Resort links. Which ones should I be reading????

I have purchased in Cassius block. Never been over, don't want to go until is all finished. Haven't had much communication. Am awaiting some further photos of the inside of my apartment to show me the views from my windows and balcony. Couldn't believe how much white goods cost. Am desperately now hoping that they can help me with rentals. Look forward to hearing from you all, and knowing what to read on this web site. Bye all.

Michael

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I was reading all of the posts in this discussion and Jamie had mentioned the company that was recommended to him that would furnish the apartment. Can anyone or Jamie tell me who the company is? Sounds like a good deal!

Would be great to get a few prices before we have to buy furniture.

Thanks, Kristy.

Hi all, I have bought on the complex also. I have a studio and just been asked for £40.00 per month maintenance. Im a bit shocked to say the least. Also the furniture is expensive my advice is to look around yourself. I asked for no washing machine or cooker in the apartment as its a studio and they told me I would have to pay £100.00 per cupboard - not the best way to treat people whom have recommended the site to others. I run a property management company abroad and deal with developers all the time and they wouldnt give these sorts of answers they would help people whom have bought. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

hi all im thinking of buying either the one bed or studio, i just getting worried reading this about all the extra costs , but the resort looks fab!!!!!!

nirishlass can you tell me if the studio is really small as im kinda thinking that is what i can afford but i was going to stretch to one bed as i would have a year to save the extra, its great to have all the info on this site also can anyone tell me how far this is fro ayia napa and would there be a bus service available as i dont think i could afford a car and insurance for it when i will only be there for a few weeks of the year thanks in advance rose

Rose, afraid no bus service to ayia napa as its over the border, you would need a taxi about 45 a return trip

Think £40.00 a month is a bit steep and why is it in stirling ,well of course a bit to be made out of exchange and i also think a lot of the people counting on rentals are going to be in for a surprise.I thought i was told when looking that it would £350.00 a year i just must check paperwork.

hi guys sorry for the late reply - yes the maintenance I have been asked for a studio is £40 a month, is everyone getting asked for these steep costs now? I havent saw the studio yet but to be honest it is just for an investment as i have a couple of other properties which I use myself so this is purely for rentals if it is ever set up

Hi Jamie

i thought it would be nice to contact someone else who is in the same block we bought in. Jo and I bought our apartment in Constantine Block Top floor and we only got keys last June but have not been back until now travelling there in March to attempt furnsihings. Tips would be great but seeking basics not luxury furnishings.

I do hope that we can all meet at some point if we are ever there at the same time. Have you managed to get any other keys cut?
