Is this available in NC? Could not find any last May when over but fortunately had brought some with me. Just wondered if it has found its way onto the supermarket shelves? Unfortunately am intolerant of other milk products.

Lilli. Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I am intolerant of soya as well. So can make things a bit difficult. Good to know that you can get gluten free in the south. Where is your deli? Sandie xx

Hi Sandie, at one time Atakara supermarket in Alsancak stocked it, but did not sell enough to re-stock. If you ask one of the owners "Ayten hanim" who spends most of her time at their petrol station, 200 yards down, she will only be too pleased to buy some in for you. If you make it clear that it will be in demand once the word gets around, then it will be worth their while? This applies to any other product which might sell well.

You can make rice milk at home, if it is just a substitute for milk in cookery and tea/coffee etc. Its a bit more tricky for baby milk as it needs extra calcium etc etc. Most vegan websites hace "recipes" for rice milk, it seems its boiled rice and water blended and strained with a touch of flavouring added if required.
