Hi Mindy, thanks for the welcome! Yes, I've got a job lined up in Nicosia. I was supposed to be there by now but there's been a couple of hold-ups with it, but I'm hoping it will be early to mid February when I start.

i suppose if i'd have rented here, my view would be that it's ok, but rough round the edges...

we live between nicosia and girne.

nicosia is mainly tc's and turkish living there, much better than living with the tourists,lol.

negativenick beat me to it as regards people being negative when they have had the experience of deceitful builders,lawyers,estate agents etc,i am quite sure that all of these people set out to make there life a happy one

For some reason i have touched a raw nerve with you,my message 7 was not to provoke you,you chose the words childish slanging match.

I just wanted to know with your atitude to life,what made you pick north cyprus & leave the UK.

But then again,maybe you have never lived in the UK

Positives for living in N. Cyprus;



1. Lots of sunshine

2. Low crime

3. Better social life

4. Friendly people (obviously the exceptions)

5. Amazing sunsets

6. Kebabs LOL

7. Hellim cheese

8. If you are a smoker. cheap ciggies

9. Local spirits are cheapish, wine cost more than the spirit

10. Lovely fresh air
