Hi authentichoccie,

Your Arcelik Fridge/Freezer could have a 3 year warranty.

If not, try Nigel 0542 885 3211.

Good luck

Navek

I would check what type of refrigerant it is first to save another call out, it should say on serial id badge inside fridge, R404a, R134a or a propane type refrigerant r600a. isopropane r290a, the latter 2 engineers rarely carry as highly explosive and expensive, but domestic engineers usually carry this type.let them know first when u place call.

Are you sure its short of refrigerant? what are the symptoms??

The gas is not harmfull or can kill!!! it will make the sky clear and sunny!!!

What makes you think your fridge needs re-gassing?

Domestic fridge/freezers have sealed systems and unless broken/punctured or rusted the system will not leak refrigerant so they dont need re-gassing unless they go through a repair process..

Let me know if you want a definate diagnose and an estimate for fixing it.

Ok here are my fridges symptoms!

Its making a noise as if its running, but not the right noise! (Bear with me I am a woman after all!)

No cold air is coming out of the vents.

Both the fridge and the freezer have packed up.

Someone looked at it for me and said maybe it needs re-gassing so figured it's gotta be worth trying as opposed to chucking it out and buying a new one which i can't afford to do right now!

Ok,although the information you provided is not enough lets try to make few guesses.

First of all, there are few components generating an audible noise, one is the compressor and others are few fan motors on some models.

We have to establish which one is functioning and which onbe is not...

It could be that the compressor is not running, the noise you hear is from fan motors.

I need to ask you few questions about symptoms, can you call me on 0533 8610329

Did you bother asking him why?
