Heading out to buy furniture soon. Anyone recommend shops that sell modern design furniture? Is there such things as furniture warehouses?

Not really is the answer, apart from Ikea but that's in the south and you are limited as to what you can bring through.



Not sure where you are buying but if its Girne/Kyrenia side of the Island then I'd start with Fiscos they do everything (except white goods). We bought our lounge furniture, bedding and curtains from them. If you aren't ready to take delivery of it they will keep it until the next time you come out. A few of our friends bought wrought Iron bedroom furniture from them as well.

We had our wooden furniture (diningroom table/chairs, beds and bedside tables) made at our local carpenters in Esentepe. We took out pictures (Argos catalogue), showed it to them and they made it simple.

Nicosia is cheaper than Girne for furniture but we couldn't find anything we really liked as most of it was either very hard to sit on or old fashioned.

Our white goods we went for Bosch but you can get Ariston, Phillips, Arcelik to name but a few. All is readily available and fighting for your custom. Don't ever pay the price they are asking. Remember they are all desperate for the business so barter.

Good furniture department store in famagusta, right hand side Lefkosa road as you enter city centre. sells good modern kitchen, lounge and bedroom furniture.

we bought all our furniture , bedding , small appliances , tv , blinds ect from toros in lefkosa we were very pleased with the service plus we had it delivered the very same day we chose it ,apart from the blinds obviously

Olgun are very nice people and will pick you up from your hotel. They have cheap & cheerful for rentals and very nice product with good prices.See their website, they have English staff.

We bought from Olgun Group and furniture through frank and joan gillin who I believe use Homefront. Hassle free shopping through Frank and Joan - you choose everything on-line and they arrange for it to be delivered and put in your apartment. They also used The Curtain Shop and had blinds and curtains put up for us.



We also went to Ikea in the South - got a large taxi over and spent £450 worth of goods!

bradus we are in block 3 no 1 the show house turtle bay, our neibour next door is a local who makes the furnicher for most of the big stores. they come down from nicasia most week ends not shaw this time of year though

I purchased off Olgun Group based both in Kyrenia and now in Esentepe Qaulity goods honestly priced

Thats my opnion anyway

i wouldnt give Frank and Joan a look'in, overpriced furniture, overpriced advice and unfortunately over in the TRNC !.

You can always try my daughter's place Smart Plus Furniture. They have some stock but most of their sales are special designs, they will come and measure your place and design to fit. They have a team of experienced university graduate "interior architects" working there.

Travelling from Girne towards Catalkoy, its on the right about 200 meters before you get to Lemat of Catalkoy. They have a couple of gazebos infront of the shop, so easy to locate.

Can highly reccomend homefront cyprus especially for bespoke furniture, prices and quality can not be beaten, no I don't work for them but Mike, Ebru, Jackie and crew give a first class service and will make your furniture to your requirements, go visit them have a chat you won't be sorry hey my wife is happy with every piece they made for us not just furniture but they made and installed our curtain rails, blinds and curtains to our requirements no off the shelf stuff here, they also supplied our quilts, pillows and bedding you can get the lot there 1 stop full package. We would not go anywhere else.
