You cant!!

You will have to ship your car from Athens to Limassol and find your own way here

But if you wish, you could go to Bridesi in southern spain and ferry across to Turkey (Cesme) and drive down to (tasecu) Near Mersin to ferry across to Girne.

But be warned the fery across to Girne is a floating cess pit.

Is the only way to Limassol Via Athens?Cant bring it in from Turkey as vehicle to old to keep in the country as ive already bought 1 in. It a 1998 Volvo S70 with only 78000 on the clock Worth about £500 in the UK So thought id use it to travel Europe and then give the keys to somebody in the South.Unless somebody over here(North) has a S or V 70 and wants spares(Dont know how that works if you scrap a car is there any duty due)Shame as its a real beaut. But rules are rules

You would have to take it to the south, the car will be registered on your passport in the North and i supose they can catch up with you at some time they seem paranoric about engine numbers

Hi cassius,

Are you sure you don't mean Brindisi which is in Southern Italy? I know there is a ferry service from there.

When wife and I drove over in 1982 we used overnight ferry from Brindisi in Italy to Igoumenitsa in Greece. Then drove to Piraeus and caught 2 day boat to Limassol.

On return trip in 1983 caught ferry from Patras to Italy.

Make sure Engine and Chassis numbers are cleaned and readable. They like to check them. As all now EEC you should not have the system I endured whereby car details plus all our trailer contents were entered on passports in Greece and checked on the way out to see if we had sold anything. The guy ahead of me in queue at Piraeus had sold his car and was en route to jail!

Greek boat class system not like UK. So book 1st class cabin

Yes sorry about that it was "a senior moment " of course it's in southern Italy,

The ferry from Ancona is another 12 hours at sea if you wish.
