How would you go about getting a driving licence on the greek side could you get it on just your British passport? thanks.

Far as I know you require an address in the south to do this,also have to be living in the country for at least a month

You can use your UK Licence, or Turkish/Turkish Cypriot Licence, for a continuous stay of up to 3 months. In practice if you go over once a week to (say) stock up on provisions etc, you never need to obtain a GC licence.

If you have residence in the South or at least applied for it(the Brown book) they will allow you to have a Cyprus driving licence after six months wait. The downside is that you must hand in your UK licence. The office ir right over by IKEA and the Hospital.

There is no need to have an Alien Registration ( Brown book) - if you are going to reside in CY



1/ You go to the immigration office in your locale and get the appropriate forms to REGISTER - if you intend staying over three months



2/ once you have got the correct registration papers - as a worker / retired person - THEN you apply for a RoC driving license - you surrender the UK one.
