First it was Kayseri, in Turkey, and now it's 2 cities in Germany, Tehran of Iran, Sabiha gokcen of Istanbul, and many more being introduced.

They will have two more aircrafts operating for them in April.

Perhaps the era of Larnaca flights is comming to an end?

2 years ago, nobody thought that you could be a return UK-ERCAN flight for £220! It was practically double that!

Dusterbruce - we've found that the answer is to book early, if possible. CTA this June is £207 p.p. Pegasus in September worked out at £189 for September.

Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately Pegasus means travelling to Stansted from Yorkshire which is quite an expensive trek on public transport and makes a cheap ticket not so cheap.

CTA prices are up and down daily like a bad girl's knickers, so I may hit lucky one day. Cannot book anything yet until I am given a date by the developer.

Dusterbruce - try Manchester or Birmingham not just from CTA

Dusterbruce, message 5 - yes, I do sympathise that the north of England airports seem to miss out on reasonably priced flights and, as you say, the travelling to Stansted would make the cost prohibitive.

Good luck in your search!!

Monarch from Manchester or Luton to Larnaca are reasonably priced flights. The big advantage for home owners is the 10kg hand luggage allowance, you can carry a worthwhile amount of fragiles in the hand baggage.
