We also heard the news about the new cafe. Another owner has just come back and spoke to the young Turkish man who is taking the cafe over. He said he wanted to open in two weeks' time and do breakfasts, snacks, light lunches and possibly be able to sell beer too. I think its great news and wish him all the best and hope many will support him. I think the cafe area is being refurbished at the moment ready for him to move in The cafe is underneath the gym.

Just to confirm the above: Work is underway at the moment to open up the area under the Gym at Turtle Bay, Esentepe, as a Bistro, it will be called 'The Village Bistro' opening hours will be 8.00am til 12.00pm, serving Breakfasts, Snacks, Lunches & Evening meals (including Speacials). Hot & cold beverages will also be available, including Alcohol. Serhat, the Proprietor of the Bisto, is also planning to do a takeaway services (handy for those peckish holidaymakers around the pool)

The Bistro will have an inside dinning and bar area, and also outside dining which is set on a large terrace overlooking the sea.

Serhat hopes to receives lots of support for this new venture, especially from the Residents/Holidaymakers of Turtle Bay. He is hoping to open the Bistro within the next week or so, but more information will be available nearer the time.

Thanks.

kaiserphil,

It sounds as though it may be Serhat the fitness trainer, from the Gym at Korinium Golf Course - Carmel will tell us...

Where have you been hiding by the way Carmel?

You ought to come over on the West side for a change!

Keith.

Do you have to live there to be able to use it? We will be on Sweetwater Bay but it will be good to have some choices for a change of scenery.

Hi, new bar is open now, it is next to the Gym. So many people asked Serhat (dont know how to spell it) when he was opening that he decided to open anyway even though he is not quite ready and is getting things organised while he is open, so choice is limited for the time being. You can buy drinks, tea, coffee and he may have food by now. I know it's open in the evening, not sure about daytime.

Another place to visit in the ever popular Esentepe area. Great to hear of another business opening its doors. Still looking forward to an occasional at the Kings and hope to hear of many other places of interest in the locale.

Hi Mellie

Is Serhat now serving food? Cant wait to go there. Will be great to have something on TBV to go to without driving out! I know lots of people have been waiting a long time for somewhere to go for a drink and something to eat so lets hope everyone supports Serhat and he gets lots of business. This isnt just a bistro for TBV owners/holiday makers but is open to the public so the more that support him the better it will be for Serhat.

All the best Serhat!

I started a new post with details of the TBV Bistro giving info. on food, times etc. and it hasn't appeared! Here it is briefly. Serhat is now serving food from 8am onwards, starting with breakfast, he also does take-aways. He was/is a Trainer at the Golf Club for those of you who were wondering. Serhat provided the delicious snack at the party last Tuesday night.
