I have noticed that none of the furniture shops appear to have prices on anything even on the websites. Does this mean they are open to bartering & if so what sort of margine should I be looking at, and wher should my starting point be?

I have seen Botanica in Catalkoy, on main road, has all furniture clearly priced up.

Hi yogi444,

Can I suggest that you get an idea of prices in the UK and compare those with the TRNC comparative.

But you pay what price you think is fair.

If you buy alot then push for further discount.

If your given 10% then ask for a reduction off the final price - round it off.

Good luck

Hi I always use Fulya at http://www.cyprusfurniturepacks.net

If you buy Instore...realistically get a 15 - 20% reduction....or buy so much and suggest t something free ...ie buy 3 beds, get another free

There are loads of great furnitire shops... if you fidn somewhere good that does the lot you can get huge discounts for bulk buying. Stewart is right... if you are doing the whole lounge for example then try and get your dining room furniture free etc.

i have found that if you pay cash most stores offer 10% discount almost without asking so I usually wait for my discount if nothing happens i ask, then off comes 10% then I usually take another 10% in my mind and barter for somewhere in the middle!

However if you think they are way off the mark with their price, walk away.

Alternatively both Stewart and Chickenrun are spot on.
