Hi folks,

anyone know if pegasus airline are strict with hand luggage ?

The reason I ask ..flying with easy jet to stansted 20kg hold no restriction on hand luggage. Stansted /Ercan 25kg hold...5kg hand luggage.

They allowed two Turkish Cypriot ladies one of the large Ikea blue bags on as hand luggage last September much to our surprise.

I fly regularly from Ercan to Glasgow/Edinburgh and recently have used Pegasus on a number of occasions they are more lenient than Easyjet thats for sure

Are you trying the Glasgow to Stansted to Sabiha Gocen to Ercan thiing using Easyjet for the first two hops and then Pegasus for the last bit ??

I use Easyjet to Stansted then Pegasus or CTA for the rest and got a great deal last month total cost round trip £206 = £144 Pegasus £62 Easyjet and the connection times were ok

easyjet no restriction on hand luggage 'within reason' and only if it fits into the little thingy, I tried to bring two small cases both of which fitted into the box thingy but was only allowed one in the cabin, better safe than sorry

Flying glasgow /stansted withe easy jet. Stansted/Ercan with Pegasus.

I know easy jet are no bad for hand luggage with no restriction. (1 Bag )

I just need to know if pegasus weighs your hand luggage ?

Hi Jackie,

They have never weighed mine so far and judging by some of the things the locals bring aboard you should have no problems unless it looks as if you have the kitchen sink with you

Pegasus have recently uped their checks on hand luggage.



Staff at Stansted are now weighing it. If it's over 5kg, you pay excess baggage charges.

All airlines have restrictions and the check in staff have little or no say in the matter. The hand baggage weight can be a problem as can the size; at check in. Be careful as if hold baggage is overweight (safe for handling) that can give you a problem too.

How far in advance can you book Pegasus flights.



I want to book for next March, but the website tells me there are no flights on all the days I want to fly. I suspect it is because they haven't released the schedule yet.



But does anyone know, when they will release flights for next March?

You are correct in your assumption, I have been looking for flights in November 2008 without luck.



I think flight schedules for winter will come out end of this month or early April (that is only a guess though)
