We are holding a charity night at Tumbas Restaurant in Esentepe on Sat. 4th July, commencing at 4 pm, tickets 10tl There will be a raffle, Fun A-Z quiz, and the star attraction is a fantastic auction, with lots of fabulous pledges to be won i.e. restaurant meals, plants, car insurances, golf lesson from professional along with 3 months fitness voucher, fly windows, family photos, car service, and more and more fantastic pledges These pledges have been donated by local firms and restaurants. Everyone welcome

For anyone who may be interested and who is in a similar position to what I was in (colon cancer), this may give you a lift in your fight and make you realize there is always a chance of recovery. I received the wonderful news this week that my problem has been cleared and I have another bite of the cherry.

To all of you who have responded to my message with your good wishes and encouragement, I thank you.

Although I am clear of the 'bug' the fight continues, as an insurance policy.

I am sorry for not responding sooner but have been very busy in collecting pledges\promises from local restaurants and businesses.

They have been very generous and I thank them.

We now have some 40 pledges for our Auction.

We hope to see you all on the 4th July - thanks again.

Well done! Cancer touches so many people but there are still so many people who ignore symptoms or don't go for regular check-ups. Raising awareness of this disease is so important. Great initiative!

One of the worst diseases the body has to cope with.

Family members on occasion, disapear before our very eyes, in short time.

I had one cut out of my shoulder, two years ago, a scorch mark from the sun, i remember, ten years earlier in Egypt.

Also to help the cause Tumba Restaurant have a secondhand bookshelf where all books are 2TL and the proceeds go to TULIP. If you have any books which you no longer have a need for please donate them.
