Hi Ben

Thank you for your offer but we are going out on the 29th may until 1st june to view (hug) the villa. I have read through pages and pages and pages on this site and not once have i heard the name Anglo Cyprus Homes which is worrying, or anything about anybody living on the site, they have different phases i.e. Harmoni, Melody, Simfoni etc. If anybody has heard of this please please contact me for a chat.

Thanks again Jax

Hi Jackie,

"Harmoni, Melody, Simfoni" etc are types of properties built by Medview Homes in the Bogaz area.

Anglo Cyprus are (I believe) a UK selling agent.

I would imagine you are talking about the Hilltop development. I live there full time and will be around when you visit.

I have bought on Bogaz seaside villas from Anglo, i have found them to be very profesional, the builder has done a good job albeit with a few snagging problems which is to be expected in NC or any where else for that matter.I am very pleased with mine.

Beno 12

I will be out myself on the 9th June maybe we could meet for a drink. Thanks for your help with the enquiry for the black membrane and stone.

Hilltop

Seaside villas are at the bottom of the road leading up to hilltop opposite the road to Sunrise.

Wattys - excellent thank you for that! Sorry to bother you again but theres all this talk about taxes on the properties...im unsure if this is the equivalent to the council tax here but can you tell me how much you guys pay on our site? Jax

Re message 6. Wattys, I know the place you mean (terrible junction), but there are no Simfoni, Melodi or Harmoni type properties there.

Or are they planning to build some to the Medview design?

Hi Wattys

Not many residents would agree with you, due to the road signage obstructing the view, and the silly angle when approaching from Bogaz.

You have not addressed the point in message 4, re the Melodi, Harmoni and Simfoni properties. Are they being built by the junction? Or are we at cross purposes (different locations)?

Looked over them, 6 weeks ago, nice villas , pools are extra so dear at 130k, nearer 100k would seem market value.

Anglo have sold many at Hilltop, but check other agents selling on the same site.

Some Simfonis sold at Hilltop by Anglo were about £5K over the developers price, but they paid less maintenance for 3 years.

Laws have now changed and agents are now needed, but if you like the site more than one agent may be selling on that site and you can bargan with them abit.

Good luck its a lovely area.

Hilltop

These apartments were on the hilltop site which is 1 mile up the road from my place, i believe Anglo were selling these at one time.

It seems strange that you don't know where these are as you know the junction leading to them, and your monica being hilltop, seems coincidence.

My advice to you would be don't rush into anything probably buy a resale.

If buying off plan new build ask about the clause in the contract that says if over the time you will get Xamount of money as compensation from the builder.

And ask about Permission to Purchase which you should have before you part with all your hard earned cash.

Also Jackie on a new build you will have to at some point pay Stamp Duty, Transfer Tax and KDV (vat) I don't know how much these villas are you are looking at but well worth taking this into consideration when buying.

Hope this doesn't sound too negative but I think the buyer should know all the facts.

Finally we have been here nearly 5 years and love it.

Hi

Havent heard anything, but I suggest you register with the Bogaz info site and ask there what people know about Anglo and the site you are buying on.

That site is full of people that are in that area although its no where near as active as this site.

Also, ask the HBPG website if they have heard anything. They answer emails almost straight away.

Good luck.

Crystalagent, thanks for offer, don't wish to waste your time, but would only be interested if space between villa and beach cannot be developed and is on beach side of Karpas road.

good luck anyway.

Just seen rumours that Anglo Cyprus Homes have ceased trading. This is categorically not true and has probably been started by a jealous competitor. I know for a fact that the company is about to start the second phase of its Bogaz Development and because of its cautious approach to a changing market is probably in much better financial shape than most other developers operating in North Cyprus.

The rumour was started by NCP who were the Developers for Anglo Cyprus Homes. It is NCP that have gone bust NOT Anglo Cyprus Homes, now theres confusion over legal issues of who owns what as part of their partnership with NCP.

Some negative comments about Medview in the Sercem mortgaged land thread. I think it refers to another Medview site, but it might be worth following up.

Jax - Anglo Cyprus Homes bought out NCP's share in their land over 3 years ago - when NCP first ran into financial trouble and have had no connection with NCP since that time. According to the legal searches our lawyer has done they own 100% of their land on their Bogaz Seaside Development and no third party mortgage is registered on this land.
