Anyone else had the same problem today - XL once again cancelled our flights for end of October. That's 4 times now its happened to us! I'm in a bad mood - what with all this ridiculous running around we are supposed to be doing regarding registering our contracts and paying out yet more money. Nothing is ever easy is it! ARRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH :(

Chill out girl. Check for replacement flights on pegasus as they had some real bargains when I last visited their site. Have a nice glass of wine whilst carrying out this task. Look on it as a challenge. The trnc being one of lives little obstacles!!!!! Any further government charges added to the house buying process and we won't be able to afford to holiday there. Problem then solved.

Hi bhw , we have never had a flight cancelled , leave alone 4 , what was the reason they gave you ? , it must be very annoying to go to the trouble of organising it and then having to do it all over again ,

good luck with your booking , simbas

I think its a charter airline so they can cancel and change flights as and when. We booked to come out for about 8 days in May but because they changed our outbound flight three times we are only coming for 5 days now! It seems XL only flight from end of May to end of September - even though last year they advertised beginning of May to end of October. Hey ho that's life I guess.

XL cancelled my flight to Knock, which were saturday return flights this summer. Told me they now fly every day but saturday! (they have a bad record of doing this). Took six months after I booked to tell me and then cost me more money for the privelage!!

I felt the earthquake in London last night.

Kept waiting 9 hours for an XL flight. Only to find out they had used the aircraft on a football charter for extra revenue. They dont give a monkeys about their customers so we all know what to do about that ? They will never get a second chance with me. Even CTA are better than that

Uhhm I am beginning to think the same breezyboy. We havent even flown with them yet and they have let us down 4 times. We have two small kids so dont really want to fly via Turkey - 6 hours on a plane with two boys is not fun for us or the other passengers!

Hi BHW

You're very patient, I don't think I'd ever consider using the same airline more than twice if they let me down let alone 4 times.

I don't know of this airline but were you flying into the South.

Yes BA were quite good actually - never thought of using them and Heathrow is less than an hour from us. Still bit pricey for half term in October but will bear in mind when booking for next year - hopefully BA wont let us down like XL have.

We always used BA if we were coming out for a long weekend as its 08.30 from Heathrow, landing at Larnaca early afternoon. Return was about 4pm in the afternoon so it always seemed as though we were there a lot longer than flying with CTA, arrive in the middle of the night and take off really early in the morning.
