Thought I'd add this to the forum list of builders...bad ones that is! There is a small development of 6 plots (4 villas already completed) in the Karakum/catalkoy area, just behind the new SMART furniture store. Anyone thinking of purchasing on this development, please beware. The builder, Batuhan Caydamli, is not a very nice person. He is all sweetness and smiles and very chatty when you first meet him, then when you have signed your contract, the games then begin. According to everyone's contract, they have to pay 950 pounds sterling, for their transformer, but in reality, it is now 7,600 pounds sterling! That is a hell of an increase and the current owners of the villas are fighting him on this issue. The build quality is not that great and he doesn't pay attention to detail. If you are also not living in Cyprus, he will take his time in building and even after giving you a set of keys, he will then change the locks!

If the current owners do not pay up this money, then it seems that he will not finish the infrastructure on this development, nor will he handover the title deeds.

Also, the original (first) villa was being lived in by his mother, but it has now been taken over by Pet Care Veterinary clinic! The amount of traffic passing through to use the vets blocks other owners from getting into their driveway, causing much irritation for the owners. Seems the builder doesn't give a dam about this.

Just thought I'd mention this in case anyone is looking to buy one of the last two plots on this development.
