Can anyone reccomend a nice quiet sandy beach in the Girne area? We would like somewhere that offers loungers, brollies etc. but Acapolco and Escape seem an absolute rip off at 15-20 tl each.

Many Thanks,

sharpey

I am also interested in going to a nice beach around the kyrenia area: would anyone care to post entrance fees and or buffet fees for lunch? If going during a weekday ...

defiantly kervan saray.

when we have been, we've never actually been charged, but if they do charge you, its only 3tl, thats to use a bed and brollie. and they also have a small cafe where a chick shish meal costs only 10tl.

we are regulars there.

Hi folks can you give directions to these beaches, I'm not that familiar with place names yet, only been here a few months.

Cheers

Recommend Kervan saray .....3ytl for bed and brolley, great to sit in cafe above ( overlooking the bay...and escape beach )

Go to the Mecure hotel...beach sits on the RHS as you approach the hotel ( ie west of Kyrenia, just before Escape beach )

To get to Shayna/Korfez beach, just turn left off the main road immediately by Happy Valley restaurant. Follow the road down to the coast! It's really easy to find and well worth trying.

Kervansaray is nice too.

i have to agree, i've been to shayna, the sea is very dirty and rocky, i dont think i will visit this beach again. i was expecting much more, very disapointed with shayna actually. it is cheap but for an even cheaper price and better place kervan saray all the way.

kervan saray is the best i've been to recently. there is also a small grassy patch covered in huge cushions where you can lay, its the same price (3tl).
