Can any one recommend someone to make hand-made furniture?

I want a unit making for my lounge............but it must be of a good standard.

Past Girne Hospital (left side) and in one of the parade of shops on the right is a carpenters showroom. I commissioned all my furniture from him years ago and It's sturdy stuff! He used to operate from a shop opposite The Grapevine Restaurant.

Head out of Girne eastwards, there is a place on the left hand side, wery small, usually got a carving outside, Ramazzan think his name is, excellent workmanship.

I have had a corner unit for the tv, dvd, surround sound etc plus a coffee table and side tables made in wood by Blanco in Catalkoy.



I also know they make beds, dining suites etc



They will make in laminate, mdf and wood, which ever you prefer and depending on your budget

I agree with teatime, This guy made all of my furniture and he is really good. He has a huge workshop behind his little shop just off the road in Karakum. He can make anything to your own design or you can choose out of a catalogue.

Homefront on the main road near the American University traffic lights make good qualty furniture to your specifications and they speak English

Builder had all our furniture, wardrobes, beds, kitchen units, lounge cabinets, hand made, amazed at quality of finish. Local workshop,had further furniture made ourselves to match. Would reccommend.

You could try Ronnies just after Lemar on the Lapta to Girne road (left hand side), further out there is Guls- cant miss it -has a hefer and eagle sculpture outside just before Karaoglanoglu. Both are excellent.

Would agree with David 161. He is extremely obliging and will make to order. What is more, his price is extremely competetive. The beechwood outside furniture he made was to a high standard.

We had loads of stuff made by Ogur Mobil - Cemal, on Nicosia Road. Lovely guy and good prices. It's a personal thing though, you need to visit these places and check out their workmanship. With Cemel he has a huge workshop at the back of the shop and you are welcome to go see the men at work.

Agree with Teatime and also recommend Cyprus Home Furniture, on the Karakum road next door to Full Marks. Excellent workmanship, obliging, photographs to look through and NOT too expensive.

Ronnies main road just outside Girne, absolutely fantastic. Just give them a piccy of what you want and they can make it. I've had loads made and delighted with all of it.
