This is very sad for the people concerned, I rented on this site in 2006 before our house in Karsiyaka was completed. It is disgusting that the landowner will come out of it smelling of roses, I can't believe the court can't seize the other properties he craftily put in his wife and daughters name.

this developer should be put in prison,as simple as that !! you can bet your life this guy has shifted all monies so only he can find it.this is what a lot of developers here have been doing, getting paid for villas then mortgaging the properties and pocketing the money.the crazy thing here most are getting away with it.

lets support these people and get to beylerbi cafe early before the auction begins and join the demonstration.

see you there!!! it could be YOU next.

Could someone publish page 4 please?

There are around 10 purchasers, including ourselves, (British and Turkish Cypriots) facing eviction from our homes if tomorrow's auction is allowed to proceed!

One adovate (Munir Akil), based in Girne conducted most of the sales contacts, including our own (two other lawyers were also involved in selling/drawing up contracts).

Munir Akil was 'introduced' by the builder to the purchasers, and both were totally convincing in their reassurances, not just to ourselves but to also to other buyers, in confirming that the properties were free of all encumbrances.

One purchaser has an original letter from Munir Akil stating: 'I hereby confirm from the searches carried out that there are no encumbrances, registered charges, mortgages, injunctions, interim orders, or any other charges or impediments over the property”.

I have permission from the purchaser to put on this website but I don't know how to do it?

Our opinion is that this let

Our opinion is that this letter combined with yesterday's Girne District Court decision could be interpreted as bringing the whole of the TRNC legal system into disrepute?!

There are many other developments where 'innocent' purchasers are caught in the middle of disputes e.g. landowner has mortgaged the land without purchasers' agreement etc.

The HBPG are fully aware/involved/supprting our situation and please show your support by getting to the Bellapais Cafe before 10.00 am tomorrow.

Collectively we must prevent this development going auction tomorrow.

Thank you!!

Neil

On behalf of all of the 10 Sun Villas family potentially facing eviction tomorrow I want to say a bit thank you for the support this forum and the HBPG has shown us today.

The auction is at the Beylerbeyi Cafe (next to the Bellapais monastery) at 10.00am please turn up and prevent this auction from happening.
