Hi all,

When I booked my holiday to the Colony Hotel it was on the understanding that they take you to the Escape Beach Club and entry is free, however on another forum someone has posted that they no longer go to Escape but to Shayna Beach, would anyone know if this is true and what is Shayna beach like.

Many Thanks

ChrisseyJ

Cheers Tony

This is what someone else posted on another forum so you can see my reservations

"Just a word of warning to anyone thinking of going to the Colony hotel in Kyrenia. The hotel has just stopped using Escape beach and has a new 'arrangement' with Shayna beach, in the other direction, out of Kyrenia. This is a tiny, man made cove, with poor quality sand and sunbeds and not very clear water. We thought it was disappointing, but not the end of the world, until the DJ arrived!

Pounding house music, a shouting DJ, yelling 'Shayna Beach club!!!' in an inane manner every two minutes, limbo dancing competitions and wait - for it - talk of a wet tee shirt competition, drove us away, never to return."

Well if going by the numbers at shayna beach on the last 2 sundays is anything to go by,it seems around 300 people on the last 2 sundays have really enjoyed the fun and games down there.

But as always theres always a minority who cannot be satisfied ,when it was a dirty old rotten run down shack you would hear people complaine!

now its a super location to relax some still love to moan.but of course they have the right to moan and the right to get up and walk some where a little more quiet.

just my opinion,

And i blooody luv it ! i might not when i reach 65!
