Could anyone please tell me the baggage allowance for flights from Stansted to Ercan with Pegasus? The Pegasus website is confusing, and i am not sure if its 20kg or 25kg. Also do you know the hand luggage allowance? Thanks

When you get into the website it is very detailed, such that I keep a copy with me when checking-in just in case. But it is basically 25kg plus 8kg for cabin. BUT some travel operators have special prices based on 25 + 5kg cabin. So make sure you are not caught out by that anomaly. HTH

We had the same dilemma, so packed 20kg to play safe, at the check in desk the lovely Irish lass said that Pegasus has a 25kg weight and 5kg hand. Gave her a lovely smile and said next time our luggage will most certainly be the 25kg. My welsh accent must have won her over and earned us some extra leg room.

25kg it is Jayne

Pegasus international flights have 25kg allowance.

Pegasus internal flights have 15Kg allowance.

You should check your e-ticket, it is listed in one of the columns.

Flew out a couple of weeks ago and was allowed 25kgs baggage and 8kgs hand luggage. Please make sure you keep to the allowance as they will charge you £8 a kilo.

Have a good flight and play spot the smile with the cabin crew.

NB there will be some changes to luggage allowances in October of this year.

Hi

My husband and i flew Stansted to Ercan last week - I looked in to this and called Pegasus directly for the info before we went to the airport. I was told you can have up to 5 cases of hold baggage per person but any weight over 25kg per person is charged at £8.00 per kilo. Hand luggage can be up to 8 kilos each.

We turned up 16 kilos over but they only charged us £16.00 - think this was an error made by the lady on the desk where we had to make the excess payment!

Msg 17 Pegasus ground-handlers were being very generous to you that may have cost them about 112.00.

Msg 19 - I might be wrong but is it not still 32Kg maximum weight per item?

Msg 15 - It might have cost less to refer to the posting at http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/3231.asp refered to as flights 2008 /2009 in Msg 12 - it was up to date last time I looked.

Hi Tom, msg 20 - It didn't cost me anything and the way things can change at short notice i personally would sooner hear it from the horses mouth so to speak.

Coop. - Most of us have to pay for our calls 0845, 020, 022 or otherwise.

The information was checked by me last night I reckon that is quite up to date don't you?

Did they also tell you of the changes due in October which I did alert you to with a post on this thread.

Tom, sorry what i meant was it hasn't cost me anything because i haven't phoned Pegasus to make an enquiry i was just supplying their number for anyone who wishes to contact them.

I'm not doubting your information is up to date and i for one am grateful for the info you suppy, its just that on the Pegasus website the luggage information is quite confusing, ie - Flights to North Cyprus 20kg & Flights to the UK 25kg
