Alagadi Beach is a 'Special Protected Area' because of it's one of the few turtle nesting sites in the world.

Due to this there are some restrictions during May -Oct :

The beach is closed 20.00-08.00.

Vehicles and dogs are not allowed on the beach.

NO boats are allowed within 1 mile of the beach. (beware of boat trips breaking this regulation)

Fires & digging are NOT allowed on the beach.

If found baby turtles are NOT allowed to be handled.

All rubbish must be removed from the beach. (please take your rubbish home or put it in a bin)

These regulations come from The Dept. of Environmental Protection - Let them survive, let us survive together.
