Hi All,

Last year we flew Durham Tees Valley to Larnaca. Brilliant and competitive service. It was so good it has been cancelled!

Can anyone advise who flies from NE England, what days of the week, and the relevant costs.

Its such a confused and confusing situation.

The best service I can find is Pegasus from Stansted, but it is a five hour drive for us.

Hi John, as you know I'm from the North East too. Companies flying from ncl are XL airways, Thomas cook, Air tours. Easy jet offer a flight from ncl to stn for £21. You then have a wider choice of airlines including avro and monarch. You can fly back from lca to ncl for as little as £50. We plan on going over on July 16th, I think the best way for me is eayjet ncl-stn £21. stn-lca £125Thomas cook. Then lca-ncl £95 thomas cook. I'm hanging on for another 10 days or so before we book in case they drop in price. Hope this helps.

John.

It might sound silly but check out Czech Airlines. They fly from Manchester and are not badly priced. There is a stopover though.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Hi

I've booked through: http://www.holidaywarehouse.co.uk/search-charter-flights.asp Are very helpful when you call them.

Flying Manchester to Larnaca, 7 nights, £161 Sunday 20th April

You can ask that site for the cheapest within a really long date range, and I've just seen, for example, Wed 25th June, 14 nights, Newcastle to Paphos £169.

Any help?

Cheers

Jo

Another site to check is "Airflights.co.uk"

Just feed in the info and it gives you flights on any given date and also alternative dates.

Hi Northerners,

Don't forget Doncasters flights on Sun to Larnaca. Humbersides' Saturday flights are a little cheaper but you only gain a couple of hours on your departure morning.

Hi trevor,

Thanks for the tip.

I will certainly give it a try.

Comment for XL Airways.....Why when you had an excellent service from Durham Tees Valley Airport to Larnaca, which used to be fully subscribed to, did you decide to cancel it? (as soon as we ordered our villa)

smoggyjim,

Just keeping within the law .that and an error on my satnav, which sent me on a small detour.

I am travelling again to Stansted in September. I will send an update, without the error.

When we had the XL flights from Durham Tees Valley.it only took 4and a half hours, and that included travelling to airport, and the flight to Larnaca. Now that is what I called civilised.

Now Now Wyn,

Course I get the Scottish lingo, born and bred and all that jazz,

the reason my hair went white was the flight was AWFUL AWFUL

I honestly think they are out of business, the service was really poor.

Anyhooo, wish coming from Glasgow we could get flights from £99

best I could get was £159 with Thomsonfly, which I thought wasnt

too bad !!!

DG,

I used to know an hostess with Dan Dare. What a bloody cracker. Then she went and married a mate of mine (waste) Anyway that was in the days when I could look at a good looking woman, and with a little concentration, I could do something about it!. Now sadly,

I can only dream (its the Efes you know).

Damned fine airline...36 double D as I remember.

Weekend at The Ship is what we all need. Send the Gals to bed at a seemly hour.

Never any problem with the blokes! Watch Jock1 and wackyjim...bad sorts those two!

Never forgiven Gordon for leaving them out of this damned Governemt.

I hated Dan Dare, cheesey boy stewards, and OK the girls were

all legs, but come on, you can still window shop !!!

The Ship for a weekend would be a waste, need at least one week,

why you putting "all the gals to bed at a seemly hour"?

are you having a laugh! We girls could outlast you guys anytime!!!

Bring it on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
