Hi all

Is there anyone on the forum travelling back to Standsted Monday 14th 8.05am on the above flight. I am hoping that someone can guide my Mum (age 81) off the plane and along the transit train to Border Control and then to the baggage reclaim for this flight. My nephew will be waiting to take her home, she is just getting a bit concerned about getting off the plane and finding her way around the airport. She is perfectly well and fit, just a bit concerned about going the right way!!

Cattywatty, get in touch with the airline and a rep will bring her through for you.

My mum is 88 and the last two times has been booked as a wheelchair passenger she has two hearing aids a pacemaker and a few other problems but could walk the distance given time but in the wheelchair they get them to the relative at the other end bags included

Its not fair to pass the responsibility onto a stranger its peace of mind for you and your mum

Just grab a wheelchair at check-in and wheel her to passport control they then take over

If you booked the flight with an agent they can ask to get her wheelchair assist as long as there is good reason for it (infirmity).

If not you need to ask at check in and also ask her to ask cabin staff for the pilot to radio ahead to Stansted to get her the assictance.

Msg 5 - you will be lucky to get a reply at present as they are still a chaos after the floods. They are being very resourceful but apart from the booking and airline control they are still suffering.

The bottom 2 floors of their HO were flooded.
