I asked Izzet to remove the picture of my granddaughters from the forum, and yesterday it was taken off,
but today its back showing again, anyone of you mods know WHY
It was pointed out that its not a good idea to have pictures of children showing and I can understand why, so if anyone has the power to remove the picture I would be grateful.
I will send another picture, when I have time

| Hi Sheila, I think its a good idea to have your picture showing as we have a 'Smity' forum member and people were answering his/her posts thinking he/she was you.
Maybe its not a good idea to have a photo of children, but please make sure there is some kind of photo.

=> smithy, it's too late, the picture is and remains available. Whatever you write (or when you publish a picture) is taken as a snapshot (mainly by Google, but there are many more sites specialising in "Wayback", "Dead pages", "Cached pages" etc). Look here: cache: http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/23033.asp (read the top of the page!) and you will understand that you may now change the photo on this board - but this page is cached and can be found by anyone.
P.S. Writing about it may give some people with wrong intentions the idea to check out what you mean.
PP.S. I'm always amazed how little many people realise how many traces they leave on the Internet! |

| Hans I understand what you mean, but the only reason (without thinking) was for me to look at that picture every day now that they live in Thailand, but there are a lot of weirdo's around, so I have asked Izzet to remove it, and pray to god it ends there. |

| Don't want to be picky, but why tell us (i.e. the Internet) where they live? **** would have done. In general, be careful when you give any personal information - lots of bad people out there make money etc on honest information - given willingly or naively. (No offense meant). |

It is clear the mods etc donot see your request as a priority several threads have been closed no doubt some members have been banned from posting yet your reasonable request goes by the wayside.....
I am sure there is a very good reason for it.

I don't know what your problem is. As has been explained on a previous thread Izzet is the only one that can change/delete photos so please do not have a go at the rest of the board admin staff. Smithy please keep an eye out to see when Izzet is logged on to the forum because then he will also be monitoring his e-mail.
