All this euphemistic 'villa/bungalow' talk - why can't people 'come clean' and call them what they really are: 'Concrete tents', hastily bodged together by 'dump it and run' merchants!

Just wanted to say that my bungalow was built by one of the better builders on the island 'Kibris Insaat', not a 'dump it and run merchant' as you put it. The same company that built my villa, which I have lived in for 4 years with no problems.

A concrete tent, bung or villa, call it what you want, the guy has 70k.

Maybe worth thinking about for anyone looking to cut their losses and leave, esp in the current market when it is so slow.

He may be willing to pay a bit more if a payment plan can be arranged.

I know of a beautifully built, 3 bedroom, ground floor apartment *close to the centre of Girne. It has a communal, well maintained swimming pool - hardly ever used by the residents. The only reason this apartment has come up for sale is due to the owner knowing he can never come back due to health problems. He only told me this at the beginning of this week. When a property has *'proximity value', it is always a sound investment and an easier resale. Due to the circumstances, this apartment could well be within your friend's budget...

Not sure why, when anyone else is selling, it is " 'Concrete tents', hastily bodged together by 'dump it and run' merchants! ......according to Tenakoutou,....see msg 5

but when he is selling it is a "beautifully built, 3 bedroom, ground floor apartment *close to the centre of Girne" see msg 8

Stewart/Msg 14: Of course you'd say that, since you claim you are ' only helping' people in the real estate sector!

However, and with no prejudice intended, you'd better hope your own 'concrete tent' isn't stuck together with a 7 or 8:1 unwashed sea sand mix, as so many allegedly (obligatory word!) are.

Hi we have a three bed villa in Karsiyaka we decided not to have a pool and now have quite a mature garden, but still room to build own pool if required. We have had to return to uk for health reasons and the villa is on the market at £99000 but naturally open to offers. Email me off site if you wish to view.

My friends have a property in Karsiyaka with room for a pool and price is very very good.

Your friends would have lots of money left for building a pool of their own choice. Fab views and detached.

Let me know if you are interested.

Sadly, I know of a 'distress' sale between golf course and Esentepe. Lovely location, 3 bed villa with private pool, two minutes walk to the seashore, has white goods, on market for £79,950 - reduced from over £100K Owners are open to offers for immediate sale. Give me a call if you want to view 0533 867 3534

Ajaney - it's an Ersoy built (on Exch land) apt., with Title Deed, situated behind Astro - in fact, an 80 yard walk to a small, but well stocked, supermarket, hairdresser, dry cleaner, in a row of all sorts of shops.

I understand the price of this apartment is to include furniture, white goods, TV system, outside storage cabinets, etc; i.e., ready to move in. The place was only ever used 3-4 times per year, when they came up from Paphos.

My old friend of 27 years, who lived full-time in Paphos, bought it 4 years ago as TRNC 'holiday accommodation' - he died only 3 weeks ago - this is the only reason for sale. His widow will not now be even visiting TRNC, because she is too ill. At present she does not wish to be contacted, as she is too devastated over her husband's death. However, if you are seriously interested, please telephone me: (90) 0392 8150394, and I will contact their son, who has Power of Attorney. Naturally, I haven't, as yet, confirmed the selling price.

@ Poppy, Hi ya, I'm still waiting on a quote from UK builders on the work that needs to be done before any decisions are taken.

@Phill, he really liked the house, however someone mentioned the builders need looking into, and also the prie was a tad too high...but as soon as I know I'll ring.

@ Tara, when were they sent?

Goonerboy,

Have a property for sale in the price range and spec you require east of Girne, 2km from town.

Small development of 10 properties, completely finished, tax paid and Kocan in hand.

Measey/Msg 72:

Because, at the time of my posting, he might have considered he'd get a 'bargain buy' - now, of course, he'll need to chase up whoever in the government handles the sale of CPO property - might be an even better bargain, and I'm sure the government would be only too delighted to offload the responsibility of risking further litigation involving the property!
