Hi Paul,

We were informed by Resco, our management company. They reacted very quickly and moved all furniture

into dry area as there was a lot of water damage. They also emailed pictures of the damage. As far as we know repaires will start on the 4th Jan.

Regards

Ronnie

Hi Paul,

Yes we understand we are covered, and the water entered through the front door due to very heavy rain.

Must say all at Resco have been very helpful and are intouch every day. We are on the beach zone, where are you situated.

Regards

Ronnie

Yes, I had damage in the form of water patches in 2 rooms and was swiftly contacted

by TBV services with photo. of damage which was reported to company. The problem

we know is that the drains are too small to cope with heavy rainfalls.

The recent rains have caused such a lot of damage. The worst we have seen is where villas/complexes have been built on slopes the roads turn quickly into rivers and the poor drainage cannot take away the water, the worst we have seen is where the walls surrounding the pools have not been cemented properley so the rain water has just cascaded through the walls collecting mud and ending up in the pools damaging the pool systems.

This is going to be a headache for folk trying to prevent this from happening again unless they find ways of diverting the rainfall off of these sloping sites .

Good to see positive feedback from maintenance companies such as TBV services dealing with the floods and informing owners of damage and action taken .
