What a great night we had at the esentepe apricot festival last night. We went to the Wedding park where there was an international childrens dance and music show. There were children from Turkey, Russia, Serbia and our own village dancers. All were magnificent. Congratulations to all who organised this great night and we are now looking forward to the pop festival tonight with Funky Monkey and then followed by a group from Turkey. All taking place at Esentepe football stadium, starting at 18.00hrs.

Sounds great, sorry to miss it. Have seen the wonderful folk dancing

while working in Turkey & Cyprus - super!

Do you know if it is on every year because we left yesterday morning but really wanted to see the childrens dance and music show and see the pop festival.

the festival is to be an annual event and will run for two weeks every May/June

Thanks Alison thats great - next May half term we will come for a bit longer so we get chance to go along to some of the things that are on.

Can anyone tell me how to get to the Esentepe football stadium please?

If you drivethrough Esentepe village with the mosque on your right hand side follow the road up and round a bend and up a hill. There is clear signposting to the stadium and wedding park in the village. Carry on this road and it will take you out of the village and there will be a sign on the left hand side for the stadium.



Last night Volkan Konak and Funky Monkey played there and it was brilliant. Funky Monkey are also playing at the Beach Party night for the festival on 7th June

Oh I wish we were there to go to the beach party. Instead back in the UK where the weather is.............uhhhhmmm............pants!
