Hello,

I need to ship some household furniture from the UK to the TRNC. I will need a some space in a shipping container - either a third of the container or half, depending on the price.

However, the quotation I have been given is pretty expensive - £3,500. Can anyone suggest a cheaper way please?

The Beekeeper.

Hello Alex

Perhaps I can help you? We send regular 'Groupage' or Shared containers and you pay only for the space you occupy, not the whole container which is what the price above looks like. If you would like to let me have your email address I'll send you an inventory sheet so that we can 'quantify' your goods. We collect from all over the UK at very reasonable charges. Our next Groupage container will be in a couple of weeks, full ones all the time, as usual. Cars too.

I'll look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards

Jo Valentine

Hi Beekeeper, Jo came to my rescue in 2008 when an international shipping name let us down badly 3 weeks before we were due to leave the UK. All our goods arrived intact including a 24 piece crystal glasses set which they wrapped individually. No hesitation in suggesting they are a good choice to go with.

We had a disastrous experience using Jo Valentine, household goods damaged and missing and we havent heard a word from Jo since August in spite of having paid her 450 insurance we definately would not recommend her it was a shamble from start to finish. Sorry Jo but we havent heard a word from you in spite of sending lists and photographs of damaged and missing goods

They lost my goods. No idea what happened to them. I suspect they were actually 'removed' from Famagust storage, rather than being sent somewhere unknown.

However, they did at least give me my money back as 'compensation', something I would not expect from a TRNC company.

I'd recommend Jo Valentine, we had a 4 cubic meters to send and she arranged it to go in another container for £700 ish. Just had to pay to get it to them. No problems all very easy.
