It's not easy Waddo. Neither have I. This is maybe because we usually go to Guzelyurt via the coast road & then inland to Guzelyurt.

I'm been given to understand that you will find it on the outskirts of Guzelyurt, if you travel on the road from Lefkosa. However I was on that road very recently as a car passenger & I didn't notice it. I wasn't however looking out for it.

Thanks, I always have tried along the coast road - maybe that is where I am going wrong.

Apologies for such horrible spelling of Guzelyurt - don't know where that came from apart from my keyboard - lol.

Hi Waddo,

Unless you are buying enough trees to plant an orchard, it is a waste of time. We went 2 years ago and it is badly organised and the trees were no cheaper than the garden centres. There is a truck outside of the Supreme supermarket by the side of the road. He is selling fruit trees for 10ytl each, we bought 4 last year and all have survived and doing well, far better option.

Right at first roundabout, follow the road to the tee junction opposite the museum, turn right, past the school on your right, bear left and left again to next roundabout, the mosque will be on the right side. Turn right and follow the road through two bends past supermarkets on left, keep going until you reach the petrol station, turn is on left just beyond.

Simple.

Now I'm totally confused. Which road to Guzelyurt are you coming in on? Lefkosa or Camlibel?

When you get to Guzelyurt from Camlibel follow signs for Lefke. When you exit Guzelyurt you will find yourself on quite a long straight road. You will see a petrol station on the left. The entrance is just beyond that, a dirt track will take you into the nurseries. The prices are govt set, but not spectacularly cheap. Stop at Kalkanli ornamental olive groves on the way back to make your journey more interesting. If you come along the road from Lefkosa through Guzelyurt, then the entrance is signposted just after the large roundabout as you leave the town. This entrance will be on the righthand side of the road.

Thanks guys, got it now - turn right when leaving Esentepe, take the first road on the left till you get to Taskent then second left over the bridge at Temple Sowerby! Its just down past the fifth set of traffic lights opposite the China House Bakery on the corner of 5th and 7th at Maddison. Can't go wrong. See you all in 2015 when I get back!

Sorry, could not resist. Will try the route from Camlibel first with the thoughts that if I get lost then I can come back the other route? Thanks for all the help.

Have already tried the Tree Truck and although some are ok some are also not worth the trip - they all come from Turkey and a lot of them do not like the Cyprus soil - the rose bushes I bought there last year are an exception and have thrived beyond all expectation!

Went there a few weeks ago and found some lovely plants/trees much, much cheaper than the garden centres. As has been said, straight through Guzelyurt, heading for Soli/Vouni. There are two, both on the left-hand side, as you come out of Guzelyurt. The first of the two had more of a selection, but both of them were good value.

Last year we bought most of our plants, trees and shrubs from there and they are cheaper than the local garden centres ie our hedge cost 3.50 TL each but the local centres were charging 5 tl each, not much but when you are buying 120 it soon mounts up. Fruit trees were 10 to 12 TL but 20 to 25 TL in locally. Many of the garden centres also get there stock from here.

We always go with an idea of what we want, the Turkish name where possible and if not a picture or photo then go to the office if you are stuck and they will find someone who speaks a little (or alot if you are lucky) english to help you. We have found them very helpful
