Thanks for that, I missed that one but it is yet another nail in the coffin.

Interesting.

Shame on Dutch """""Christian""""" Democrat Ria Oomen-Ruijten. But what do you expect, her political friends, the Greek speaking Cypriots, are """""Christians""""" also...

I don't think .."the withdrawal ofTurkish troops from the northern part of the island in order to contribute to ongoing reunification talks..." will make any difference to the current talks.

If they want to set Cyprus on fire again, the best way is to get Turkey to remove the troops before a solution is found. Where do these people crawl from - it's frightening.

I think the Turkish people have made it clear about the troops and the TRNC, there is no getting through to some.

They would prefer to abandon the EU.

I think Turkey should comply........1 soldier at a time, say one a week. That should comply nicely.

The EU seem to be doing their level best, at every opportunity, to antagonise Turkey - very unwise, as they'll eventually discover - to their cost!

They must sit in their little offices wondering how to fill some time to justify themselves, do these people have ANY idea what's going on in the real world. Proud Turkey must be sick of it and probably wondering if they are doing the right thing (wanting to join the club, that is).

Yep, another nail in the coffin but who's coffin... ? Those on here who *think* N. Cyprus is going to remain unaffected by the "acquis coordinaire" need to pull their heads out of the sand.

Some sort of compromise will be reached .
