Does anyone have a dog cage suitable for a small size cocker spaniel? It needs to comply with CTA flight regulations, ie: waterproof base, sturdy, and good locking mechanisim. I am coming out to Cyprus in February and would like to take it back with me to Uk ready for my dog to travel out in May.

Hi

I have a dog carrier you can borrow. We brought our Pointer back to the UK in it so it should be large enough.

The cage is IATA approved. We live in Heathfield East Sussex. AP

I bought my VariKennel online and they delivered it free the next day.

People often have these for sale as they are not needed after they've got their dog over to wherever they are going.

It has to be the correct dimensions for the size of your dog. You can check that online too.

Even if you don't buy from these - they have the info:

We have the export box used to fly our staffie here on CTA; should be plenty of room for your spaniel.

It has stainless bowls for food and water, with a funnel and tube to top up the water.

If you want to see it, please reply with contact details and I'll get in touch.

Bring all the other things your dog may need whilst in Cyprus as (1) you may not be able to get here and (2) very expensive. Consider a muzzle if you want to let him off the lead whilst walking in case someone puts poison down. Also flee and tick treatment is cheaper in the UK now I believe. Just paid 83 lire for 3 Frontline pipettes for a large dog.
