Back to the top - Chris Offord (Nurseawful) can tell you if you qualify as a blood donor.

The information you, as a potential blood donor, give Nurseawful (Chris Offord) is ABSOLUTELY confidential. Nothing of this information will ever be used for anything else than informing you when blood is needed. The database I built is encrypted and has a password so no prying eyes or hacker can ever steal your name, mobile phone number etc. Guaranteed. - Hans Doeleman

Last night I've put the TRNC BloodBank database on my mobile phone also. So, even if Internet may be down (it happens...) and I can't send the text messages from my computer via my mobile phone to your mobile phones - in an emergency I can do so now directly from my mobile phone also. Wherever I am.

Please note: potential blood donors will get text messages from the TRNC BloodBank ONLY from one of these phone numbers: 0533 841 5410 or 0533 864 5433. Any other number is fake (there are 'funny' people out there...).

Hi DC I'm already on the blood donors register but do you know if they do such a thing as bone marrow donation here? I was on the Uk list and would be willing to go on a register here if there is one.

Booitsme, I have no idea. I suggest you ask Nurseawful: northcyprusblooddonors@gmail.com or call her: 0533 846 7754.

Thanks for that I'll give it a try. Also, I was asking a Turkish friend today if they do organ donation here and he said yes, but wasn't too sure how you register. Evidently you have to be registered "before the event" as it were! Another idea for people to consider who maybe were on the list in the UK. If I can find out any details I'll post on here.

Hi ,I donated at Lefkosia today, really is nothing to it and its such a good feeling knowing the blood you donate is going to help someone specific who needs it now. Come on guys,it could so easily be you or yours next time, register now

Hi nurseawful, I think I did ask but do you know if there's a bone marrow donor list here and do you know how to go about joining the organ donor register as well? There won't be much left after all this - a shoe box should do it
