I`ve just read the newspaper, and noticed that in ONE WEEK there were 73 car accidents, 16 people ınjured, 219 caught speeding, 61 talking on the phone and 61 drıvıng with no road tax!!!

For someone who was a vıctim of a drunk drıver, these fıgures are quite simply horrifying and the stuff of nightmares!!! Moe speed bumps please...or more traffic police patrolling PLEASE!!!

I wonder how many people were actually pulled up for drink driving...? My guess... not many!!!! But of course, talking on the phone is far more dangerous!!????? DOH! They can put in all the speed humps and speed cameras they like but until they actually start to pull up those drink driving, I'm afraid many of these statistics will remain relatively unchanged...

It's a sad truth.

Daisy, Whats is going on with the website that Proger has helped you with?

I thought I would have seen you today at Guidos promoting *your idea*

After all what better place to spread the word, Most of the people at the lunch today understand the animal problem here and have taken many of Liz's Strays on.

Tootie.....well, to be honest there was a signifıcant lack of interest, and i admıt to losing my own interest too. However, in a last ditch attempt to get volounteers and some help, i shall be doing a newspaper interview next week....does this answer your question adequately enough?? You may email off board ıf you have any more questions.

The probability is that hardly anyone gets pulled up for drink driving unless it is blatantly obvious that you are not in adequate control of your vehicle. When police do normal stop checks If they have reason to believe you have been drinking (i.e. the smell of booze) then they will test you for alcohol consumption if they have no reason to then then they will not do it. As almost anywhere else in the world you will only be subjected to a breathalyser test if you have been involved in a RTA .

Stopping drivers randomly and carrying out breathalyser checks is not economically viable.

Its foster homes your looking for and I think you missed a lot today?

Plus last post was over a month ago saying watch this space.

OK, I await the newspaper interview & hope it helps the website, but as Proger says it will just become another hole in cyberspace.

RE msg 5, daisy_dukes: (...) well, to be honest there was a signifıcant lack of interest, (...)

=> How did you find out, Daisy? I offered to build a web site for you, but obviously you couldn't wait a couple of weeks when I was busy around Christmas and the New Year - although you launched "your idea" somewhere in the summer. Then Proger1 built the web site for you and I offered to come to the meeting you said you were planning - and never heard about it again. Lack of interest - just for the record: where..?
